EV Training is a pain, the least fun part of this game
Lazypanda69 replied to a topic in Suggestions
reset timer is more than 3 days, less than 1 week, I never actually count the cool down; because I have full stock of berries if I just go every week or so. Also, there are places with combined EV, etc. If you hate ev training too much, don't go to places where the pokemons are over lvled(for instance, I used to go to sky pillar for atk+speed ev train, because you get 99% atk+speed pokemon, and the pokemon lvl is like 40+ there, so you can level at the same time but if you don't like ev training, don't go places like that). Also add to the point, you can lvl and ev train at the same time, just find your place and escape when non-desired pokemon shows up. Check out a EV-training guide, there are tons of ways to make ev training as enjoyable as possible. -

A few tips: 1. Ev train first, before you level, so you won't have to do the ev reducing part. You can level a low level pokemon to 40-50 really quickly by using the false swipe + spore + black sludge method, which then you can ev train when they get to that level. 2. Ev reducing berry available every few days at berry tower in kanto, you beat through a few trainers and get 25 berries for a specific type or 5 berries for each type. With this I have never actually run out of berries. 3. Learn the moves targeting specifically your training targets. This goes without saying, you want to OHKO all your ev training targets to save time. If you can't do this, go back and level your pokemon using the false swipe + spore + black sludge method to higher level. I'm always able to OHKO at lv50 for any pokemon. Master all this, ev training is super easy. And yes, if you level your pokemon before you ev, you are in deep trouble. -
That's botting, it's like saying pressing "a" and "d" to run left and right to encounter pokemon is too much repetition, so I want to have something that repeated press "a" and "d" for me. Clicking through the battle action is too repetitive, so I want to have something that clicks through the battle actions for me. That's the definition of botting - have something that does the repetition for you so you don't have to do it yourself. Most MMO's are repetitive, some requires you repeatedly clear the same dungeon over and over again, PRO requires you to repeatedly run around / fishing. It's better than the other ones imo because you can do other stuff on another screen, like watch a movie, etc.

one up this, i have to look up the tm number online right now, and sometimes it's even incorrect because of different generations.

So here's the question, if you think EV training is boring. How do you stand hunting for epic pokemon? It takes half hour to one hour to completely finish one ev train, but it takes days sometimes weeks of straight out grinding(without even making any money because you have to escape the pokemons you don't want to hunt more effectively) to find a good/decent rare pokemon, say impish Hippo(and that's a easy one because it doesn't need H.A.). There are more grinds that are a lot more tedious than ev training in this game, so much so that ev training itself isn't really that unbearable. -

well, thats how MMO's work slow grind early and faster grind later I did the full story in 60hours without MS/XP booster and I had a bike and fly quest and so on Exactly my point, the point is to get rid of some of early game gold sinks and add late game gold sinks to balance gold sinking. And I'm not saying we have to charge 1k for each pvp battle, but in general more gold sinks, because this inflation right now is out of control. Also MS price is not increasing because people are getting greedy(well, they are getting greedy, but that's not the whole problem), it's increasing because of the out of control inflation in in-game currency. Things you used to be able to buy for 50k, is now worth 100k, and that's because not enough gold sinks are being implemented in late game. Not enough gold sinks => currency inflation => people complaining about MS price. I'm only using PvP players as an example of end game gold sink. Maybe something like unlock sevii island for 2m if you don't have MS, things like this in general; or unlock love island for 1m even if you don't have required evo or dex count, something like that. -

whats the difference between a regular player and pvp player? PvP is end-game content, I can easily make 100-200k in a couple hours at end game, where it would take me five times the time to grind for that amount pre end-game. And we need ways to sink those gold for people who hit end-game rather than just chunk off 75k for bikes early game. It took me 15 hours in early game to farm for that bike when I started, but it takes me less than 1 hour if I'm to buy that 75k bike now. -

It's a player ran market. Therefor, staff will not intervene and regulate prices. If you don't want to spend what the seller is asking then don't; the seller will eventually lower their prices if no one buys. However I do think that PRO needs some more money sinks. The Focus Sash seller is a good start as it means PvP players will be putting their money elsewhere and thus will have less to spend. This will slowly lower the prices of both Pokemon and items; such as MS. I definitely agree on this, more money sink not for regular players, but for pvpers. Sell things like berries, focus sash, maybe charge 1k for each pvp match, etc. -

I know what supply and demand is; and it's why I said "regulate the price" and not "fix it". Regulating, in this case, means keep an eye on people who tend to set the price too high, and regulation is part of any real life economy. In most of the countries, if you start over pricing, you get in trouble. So what do you want to do for those people who set the price too high, ban them? They have the right to sell them at ANY price they want, if people think the price is high, he won't get any deal. It's not scam, it's getting the most out of the deal. If you are on the other side of the trade, and are selling MS instead of buying, why the heck would you sell for 450k if you know for sure you can sell for 500k, or if you are patient enough, maybe even 600k? From what I can see, this post is just someone whining about overpriced ms, while too cheap to spend $5 to buy it. -

If you think a week of your life is worth more than $5, you can get on the other side of the deal, and start selling MS instead of buying them. And once enough people start selling, the price will drop naturally. The only reason it's being sold at 500k currently, is because there are people out there that are willing to buy it for 500k, it's very simple supply vs. demand situation. And the reason why epic pokemons are very hard to catch, is because the game does not want the pvp battles to consist of epic pokemons only. If anything, I would suggest increasing the difficulty of catching epic pokemon, because if you look at the legit pvp players, they only use EPIC pokemons, and there are a lot of them out there. The pvp in this game is supposed to be different from ShowDown, and not consist of all perfect/near perfect pokemons. Starters having better nature/iv than wild will only cause trouble. You will see a very high increase in the use of starters in pvp battles(because some people doesn't have the patience or leverage to hunt for other good pokemons), and it becomes a "meta", that's not what we want. -
I need help with a fire type pvp team
Lazypanda69 replied to Nicksupergod's topic in General Game Talk
Drought Ninetales is your go-to guy for setting up sun weather, which boost fire type move. Talonflame, Arcaine, Houndoom, blaziken are all very good fire type choices. -
It's in the Pokedex that's in-game, tells you exactly what level learns what move. But you have to have seen the pokemon before.

yup, the full event is not yet revealed. Pewter city has changed as a warm up for the event. You can get rare candy and candy cone and rare pokemon if you headbutt at pewter now.

I think they raise the bar on getting those? I remember getting them at 3k for a while then they disappear, then start getting them again at 5k. Maybe same thing happening here? 7k now?
-
With the amount of brelooms I have seen that doesn't have spore, I second this.
-
They already did, months ago: There are 2 pokémons per route -one at each end- and if one of your team's pokés have Teleport (and you've already finish this route normally at least once, maybe also badges requirement, don't remember exactly), for a fee you can TP right to the other one Can't find the original post about that, but here is an old post about one of those TP poké who didn't TP where it was supposed to ^^ Wait, it's in game already? I have never actually noticed it lol.

Sevii islands and trainers valley and Valley of Steel and many other places have lv 70-80 trainers for even faster leveling than cerulean cave, let alone mt.silver or dragons den. I actually level my pokes to around 85 and wait for trainer reset for those places so I don't have to grind.
