Clamperl evolves via holding a DeepSeaScale into Gorebyss or a DeepSeaTooth for Huntail and trading it to another player.

Nope, you have to evolve Clamperl that way. It's evolutions aren't catchable in the wild. I could possibly assist you in trade evolving it if you liked depending on the server you play on.

I play on Gold. and yeah i noticed you cant catch it in the wild, just sucks i need to trust another player.. Some people can be out for themselves for whatever gains it might make them..

Well thats a bit problematic, can't really help you since I haven't made much progress on Gold. Wait for a PRO Staff member or another player you can trust to see if they can assist you. I understand you are paranoid trusting other players with your pokemon, but if such a case occurs where they do steal it you can report them. Just be sure to screenshot the trade agreement and your pokemon.
