meh the workload is much higher when u make a video, while u can reach the same qualitiy in a guide with text + screenshots, also there are ppl who suck at making videos (like me)

Good point. Some players could write written guides, while others could post their videos. If you wanted to make this sub-section, I think it would fit just fine as one of the categories in the Player Zone.

Then again, a guide section can provide a dramatic amount of assistance in the long run, i can give out a few examples :

1- Pokemon locations

2- Rarity

3- Economical features (NPC Payouts etc.)

4- Competitive team builds

5- Walkthroughs

6- Certain informations on how to obtain secret items (Mega stones, mounts, etc. etc.)

 

In a video, you can just cover up a certain basis of one of those, in a guide topic however, you can just pile everything up and make it organized. This will help alot of new players along their journey.

This is exactly what I wanted. Players deciding about the rarity among themselves resulting in many positive things. Now you know that say Houndour is rarer spawn and you told to few people and spread the word around. THat is exactly what I wanted. As for knowing you caught a rare Pokemon, I also wanted that not to visible. However, I can tell you small hint. I am not planning on changing any important rarity anytime soon because it is damaging for both players effort based wealth and general economy. That being said, I want you players to determinate the value of a Pokemon based on its rarity or viability. Get the picture now? You see one Magikarp and a Dratini on a map? Guess which one is rarer? You see 10 of various Pokemon you can narrow down and ask around which is what I wanted when I started working on spawns.

English, Russian, Brazilian all same when it comes to doing an action ingame. Actually, having this in written form might actually make people to sever and picking side based on their language and whatnot. Then again, do what you want.

But why so negative about it? You don't lose nothing doing it, in fact, to all the new people who will play this game, will be better to go to a "guide section" than go to the support forum looking for help, and maybe for them will be more faster look at some guides. And the guides are made by the same users so in one way or another the staff don't lose nothing doing it.

i would create a new subtopic in Player Zone and would call it something like "Guide Section"

Ok. I was confused a little because everyone was beating around the bush. That's like a 2 seconds update and I can do it. However, what makes me little vary is moderation of said section and updating it properly.
