Valentine's Event 2020

Hello everyone, I've decided to make another guide today showing you how to complete the Valentine's Day Quest and getting that special Valentine's Clefable form. Thank you to Sir Meowington for helping me out with the sprites and Comrader, PharaoMage and Sareth for some corrections/information.

To start the quest, the player will need to speak to Sailor Jenny located south of the gym located in Vermilion City. She will grant you access to the Aphrodia Island once the player is the Champion of Kanto

Now that we are on the Island and head a little north, we will be greeted by Mayor Shiro. She will explain how we must convince the residents of the island to allow visitors entering the island in particular one named Perry.

Now that we have spoken to Shiro, the player must head North again to Aphrodia Island House 1 where Perry is located. When speaking to her, she will explain to the player that weird things are happening to the Pokémon and due to this a wedding has been cancelled. She will then request the player to speak to the couple whose wedding has been cancelled and grant the player access to Aphrodia Island East via Sailor Jenn who brought you to the Island in the first place.

Now that we are on the East Island, interact and speak with Jerome. He will explain the dilemma to the players and ask the player to find some items.

Please do note, the player will need a Pokémon who has the ability Early Bird which can also learn the move fly (The pokémon does not need the move tutored to it) to allow them to travel through Aphrodia East Island.

Golden Scale location: Interacting with the Magikarp on the main Island.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Revival Herb location: ground-lootable in a pokeball on East Island.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pink Peony Blossmon location: 6 pink flower patches the player has to walk over to get them, all located on the East Island they are displayed as red circles below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

After the player has acquired all the items, they must go back to the main Island and speak to Jerome in Aphrodia Island House 2. He will ask the player to wait as he delivers the items to the pharmacist. The player will need to wait 12 in real life minutes. Despite the dialogue saying 1 hour, the conversion time is 12 minutes in real life = 1 hour ingame.

After the time is up, we go back and speak to Jerome, who tells us to speak to a Professor called Jester in Viridian City, so we must travel there.

The professor will be located in Aphrodia Island East.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He will explain to the player how there is a Clefable charming other Pokémon and how it needs to be stopped. He will need to make a special repel for the player, however the player will need find him 3× Crystal shards in order to make the special repel.

 

Crystal Shard location: can be found on Aphrodia Island when interacting with the Crystals submerged under water

 

 

 

 

 

 

After finding the 3 Crystal Shards, return back to Proffesor Jester in Aphrodia Island east and he will make the special repel for you. After spraying the player with the repel, he will ask the us to speak to Jerome once again in Aphroidia Island House 2 for Clefables location.

Once the player has spoken to Jerome again, he will tell us where the Clefable is located. At this point, we can get our sync and false swipers ready to try and capture the Clefable. The Clefable will be located on the East Islands on the very last area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our first reward will be getting a chance to catch and sync the Valentines Clefable.

 

After we have caught the Clefable we must go back to Aphrodia Island House 2 and speak to Jerome once again. He will invite us to his wedding and the player must wait 24 minutes in real life time to be able to attend it. After the ceremony is done speak to Mayor Shiro and she will unlock Aphrodia Island West for the player

This section of the guide will show the player how to get Pink Fire Wings.

Requirements:

• Having completed the first part of the Valentine's Quest. This includes attending Jerome and Rose's wedding.

 

Please do note you can find these keys in any order, I just wrote it in the easiest order for me.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The player must first interact with the Altaria located on Aphrodia Island East.

 

 

 

 

 

 

After interacting with it, the player will need to head to Aphrodia Island West and interact with the Shiny Serperior. This maybe confusing on how to get to it but there are set of stairs hidden behind the tree.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Last and final key will be interacting multiple times (around 25+) with the big rock located next to the Steve NPC. You will know you have completed this when you get a Big Nugget.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Once you have obtained all the keys, interact with this rock behind NPC Steve.

 

 

 

 

 

 

You will then be transported to a map where NPC Chris is located speak to him and he reward you the Pink Fire Wings.

even i have found all ingrediant as shown in guide jerome always said that i have not

i made a post in forum and discord support get no answer :'(

 

I used one of the revival herbs which prompted the same message too. I transferred a revival herb from another account and it fixed this.

 

So I reckon the actual requirement is 3x Revival Herbs.

Deelaw is it really with the move fly.. cause I used a doduo which is a flying pokemon, but didnt knew fly move ..

You need a poke with early bird that can learn fly. knowledge of the move isn't required. Accepted pokes are xatu doduo and dotrio

So we are excluded from this event if we're currently completing the story of another region, like Johto? It's only accessible in Kanto? (...which I currently have no way of accessing, and won't be able to for quite a while.) That doesn't feel right...

 

Edit: Thank you for the guide, I do appreciate it. It just seems like an oversight of the designers or something to have it inaccessible to players locked in other regions, who otherwise meet the requirements of the event (Kanto champion, etc.). Unless I have it all wrong and am overlooking something, which is possible, and which is why I'm seeking clarification.
