Since the Valentine Hunt began, I did a little delving into the formula for points. The calculation seems to be as follows...

 

IV's (+1 per IV) + Correct Ability (+20) + Rarity (see below) + Valentine/Shiny* (+10)

 

Rarity Tiers

+10 ( Nidoran family, Pikachu family, Spearow family )

+20 ( Illumise, Volbeat, Cleffa family )

+30 ( Alomomola, Budew family, Frillish family, Luvdisc, Minun, Plusle, Sawk, Throh )

 

Correct abilities

Nidoran M/F - Hustle

Pikachu - Static, Lightning Rod

Spearow - Sniper

Illumise - Prankster

Volbeat - Prankster

Alomomola - Regenerator

Budew - Natural Cure

Cleffa - Magic Guard, Friend Guard

Frillish - Water Absorb

Luvdisc - Swift Swim

Minun - Volt Absorb

Plusle - Lightning Rod

Sawk - Sturdy

Throh - Mold Breaker

 

Didn't feel like this was enough new info to warrant the creation of another thread, but maybe it will be useful to some who were curious. Happy hunting everyone!

 

*Assuming shiny is worth the same as Valentine form. I haven't actually seen one scored yet.

i know there probably would be no compensation... But the daily server crash literlaly crashed when i was in battle with clefable.... quite sad over this.
