I think that experience points required to grow up could be lower than what we get now, esspecially when were are talking about pokemons who are level (1-13).

It's hard to get 875 exp points, whe pokemons that are at the same level than your just gave you 23 experience points.

Trying beating Pokémon at or higher than your level, you will gain exp points in a hurry

Hate to break it too you, but this is an MMORPG, thus we use the hardest EXP gain coding, which makes the game more challenging, the reason is because we don't want people advancing through content to quickly as it is supposed to be challenging. This won't be changed.

haha did u forget how hard the exp was in ppo rofl but that was just unbalanaced xd took me like 3 weeks to just lvl up 1 pok to 100 haha

 

PPO coding for EXP was custom, we actually use a official formula from the real games for our EXP.

Edit: It would be awesome if the EXP coding was toned down just a LITTLE bit I think. But apparently it's just the lower levels O_o

arent they just the normal gen 6 exp mechanics? however, getting exp isnt a problem, if u having problems leveling up it is because u are fighting pokes too far away from your level

Somebody brought this up a while back, so I tested the experience yield between the handheld formulas (all of them) and PRO. What I found is that at lower levels you actually gain LESS than you're "supposed to", and at higher levels you gain MORE than you're "supposed to".

 

I don't know the exact formula that is coded into this game, but honestly, the difficulty level isn't too bad, and it really seems like a non issue IMO.

The rework means that leveling will be more comfortable in early game and hopefully end in a healthier story experience.
