You may have missed some crucial information. This is not a bug, but a feature they recently disabled.

Due to the recent server crashes, the developers on PRO had decided to disable Dig Spots, Headbutt trees and Excevation sites, to prevent further crashes from occuring.

Or in hopes it will lessen it.

 

They will however be enabled again on the next client version.

However, there is no ETA on when a new client version will be released as of now.

 

You can stay up-to-date with information regarding this on their Discord server.

My apologies for the inconvenience. As mentioned above, Dig Spots, Headbutts and Excavations are temporarily disabled as our developers work on resolving the issue that is causing the server crashes. Stay up to date to the newest announcements in the Official PRO Discord's #announcements channel.
