it takes two interactions to travel between saffron and goldenrod cauz of trains stations system. i mean for example someone wanna go ceru to violet, its always better to go verm-olivine-violet. he dont chose saffron-goldenrod-violet. cauz of interactions and walking a little in train station. so that train system can be changed. 

 

and another interesting idea is having airports in all regions biggest cities to travel between, like ships at vermillion, olivine, lilycove, canalave; airports like saffron, goldenrod, rustboro or mauville, jubilife city etc

-1 to that airports idea, there's already plenty of travel methods and i just don't think adding another one would do well

 

About the goldenrod/saffron subway thing, i'm not opposed to it, the first dialogue is pretty useless anyways, it can all be merged into the second dialogue as it is, so yea +1 to that part
