I'm only saying this because the game is perfect for mobile play, especially when doing repetitive tasks such as EV training and searching for rare poke, but it's very hard to play on mobile, on a 6 inch screen at least (android).

From what it looks like the scale is max so that the menu would not intersect with the pokemon list and I guess this is why it has been done this way. Still, the game would have way more value if it could be played comfortably on mobile. I think it's alright if the menu intersects a bit (better than squinting when reading attacks). If there will be a GUI update like a dropdown for the menu, I also suggest making the open/close chat more accessible for mobile players, but even without that it would a great game to grind when having to wait on a bus, in line or whatever.

Did you try to adjust the GUI Scale on the options already?

As Norex mentioned above, there is a GUI scale in the game settings. You can raise or lower the GUI to your preferred scale.

It will also impact the chatbox, so the open/close chat option is easier to see and press.

This is the only way to adjust the GUI. If it is still not to your liking, there is unfortunately nothing that can be done at the moment.
