That error message is a known issue for a lot of stuff and only came up recently, the devs are already aware and work on it though.

However it actually does not prevent you from anything, you can just go on with the quest and the story. You can use the Johto Walkthrough for example to make it easier doing so.

This happened to me but with brock how can I fix this?

 But to continue the story line in Canto you need to battle Brock, no? But the game prevents me from doing it due to Error ,, what to do?
