Hello Team,

 

I just figured out that my Axew pokemon doesn't have his Dragon Fang that he helded anymore. He still had the item this morning or yesterday as far as I remember. I have made no trade or anything today related to this item.

 

Could you check what happened please ? And restore it if it is possible.

 

i'm on gold server for information and my trainer name is Hamalainnen.

Did you train your Axew or battled wild pokemon with it? If you did what routes and areas did you train on?

I may be wrong since I just saw that the Dragon fang is missing but I trained recently on route 117, Mauville Gym and route 118.

Route 117 has wild Seedot which can have the ability "Pickpocket". Pokemon with this ability can steal a pokemons item if it makes direct contact with a move.

This is what most likely happened to your item.

But I thought we couldn't get item stolen by wild and trainer pokemon. Do you think it will be restored ?

It is intended for wild Pokémon to be able to steal items with moves/abilities. If a wild Pokémon does this, you can catch it and it will be holding the stolen item.

Since it is how it is intended to work, we will not restore items lost this way.

Thank you for your response and now I will try to get a new dragon fang.

 

Regarding this mechanical I find it's not healthy for the game because :

• usually we first hit the wild pokemon so we cannot caught him in reaction.
• when we try to wild pokemon ourself, we need to win the fin to get item? The wild pokemon can steal it even if he lost fight.

 

This is just a suggestion regarding this mechanic, the game is awesome anyway and you can lock this topic as the incident is close. Thank you again.
