Even though it was easier to level up evolved form in this server, I think I still would choose the usual exp system that the current game has. Maybe I was just used to it and it just felt faster leveling up that way. I pretty much did not use the pokemons that I caught in the earlier cities after the 5th gym. I mostly relied on my EV trained gyarados (which I caught as a Magikarp and ev trained at route 24 and diglett's cave) to sweep the remaining gyms and the E4 (with aid from magnemites/magnetons/graveler and some revives and potions/berries) I hope the exp gains from catching pokemons will be retained and the exp share will be useful as well.

jasmine literally trolled me with magnet rise ,my faraligator has a ground move so whenever i use it , her magneton uses magnet rise , NPCs shouldnt have much brain as bosses ,then i hve to use smack down to ground magneton.     the server is fun 🙂

Given that you have to grind SIX mons to lvl 80 to go to Sinnoh, I'll give my final thoughts here.

Hoenn is known for having a lot of exp. This might be the region that new players will probably have less trouble leveling up with the new system due to the enormous amount of exp there is. However, it's also fair to say that there are multiple maps that, as a newbie, you may not know that exist, and that provide plenty of exp, specially in the water routes.

Wild pokémon grinding is completely useless, or takes HOURS to become significabt. I think a buff here in all regions would be a must.

Something I have seen in common in all regions, is that in mid - late game the get way harder. I understand that the game has to get harder the mlre you advance, but a tremendous skip in powerlevel (or the abscence of it from our part, in most cases) isn't the solution. Maybe, as said before, incease wild pokémon levels? Or maybe buff the AI of gym leaders? Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure very few people are going to Sinnoh. That is an indicator of the flaw in the new exp system.
