Some people have thought of different ideas, with regards to what new forms could be introduced to the game. This one hit me a few days ago. Going back to our roots of the Trading Card Game. Not only did they have the regular Pokémon (that you know and love), they also had the "Gym Heroes Set" or "Team Rocket Set". Gym Heroes such as Brock's Rhydon, Erika's Clefable, Lt. Surge's Electabuzz. As for Team Rocket (known as Dark), Dark Alakazam, Dark Arbok, Dark Blastoise. Gym Hero forms, Dark forms...

 

There are many variants that the Trading Card Game has introduced, but these came to mind first (the more original stuff). How such things would be put into the game responsibly is another question. Earned via quests, rewards or whatever it may be. Keeping the exclusivity / ultra rarity aspect would be nice, if such things came to light IMO

Bonus suggestion: There are also some Pokemon with their specific trainer in the full art. I would find a Sprite interesting with the pokemon and the trainer in the same image. For example if someone caught a WQ Pikachu and was lucky enough to encounter one with Ash in the background, that in the battle Ash appears to cheer for Pikachu. This could also be implemented with several other trainers, like rivals, team rocket or champs in the full art. 

 

The only problem I see in my idea is that „Trainers“ aren‘t catchable and this would break the entire laws in Pokemon. But what do you think?

Maybe. I'd be in favour of animations, if done tastefully. Erika'a Clefable with some "Erika scene" with it. Mmm...I'm on the fence. It may enhance or ruin things

Hello, alternative forms that align with the TCG format are certainly possible.
In fact, we're already doing so with our Halloween, Christmas, Valentine, Easter, May the 4th, Summer, Pink, and Shadow forms.

 

However, currently, it's not possible due to the enormous amount of time and resources required to create new forms for the existing events.

 

Nonetheless, it might be something to consider in the future.
