I have 500h play and catch a pokemon over 140 iv but i cant catch genesect. I only receive reward like normal reward. I am missing somethings? 

Did you check the top-right door of the Bug Catching Contest Hall?

I tried talking and going through all the doors but still nothing happened

Not yet. I have not notice to catch it

I got to catch genesect by catching a pokemon worth 291 points in bcc iirc.

 

I think you need to catch a rare like larvesta, scyther, etc. with good iv's.

I'm not sure.  I read the condition only requires iv 140+.  I guess I'll have to try again
