Is Pokémon Revolution Online still worth playing in 2026?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,
I just downloaded Pokémon Revolution Online and I’m thinking about starting my journey. Before I really dive in, I wanted to ask if the game is still worth playing nowadays.

Is the playerbase still active? Are there enough players for events, trading, PvP, etc.?
I’m mostly looking for a fun MMO Pokémon experience and a friendly community.

Any feedback from current players would be appreciated. Thanks!

PRO is definitely still worth playing if you’re looking for an MMO style Pokémon experience. The playerbase is very much alive. You’ll see people chatting, trading and helping new players (including on the PRO Discord). Events are still active and seasonal ones are busy, which keeps things interesting and gives you goals beyond just the story. There are regions to unlock, cosmetics to collect, mounts, legendaries and end game content that takes time and planning. The community is very friendly. The chat has plenty of people willing to answer questions, and there are guilds that welcome new players if you want a social side too. Overall, if you like classic Pokémon gameplay, gyms, bosses, trading, hunting, having long term goals…then PRO is a great fit. PRO is a long running world that will keep evolving. Take your time, and enjoy.

Welcome to the community! Pokémon Revolution Online is absolutely still worth playing. While it’s an older MMO, the playerbase remains remarkably active with plenty of people running around for trading, guild events, and PvP. It can feel like a classic machine sometimes because the rare Pokémon spawn rates and shiny hunting require serious patience, making a good catch feel like hitting a massive jackpot. The community is generally super welcoming to new players. Which starter are you thinking of picking to begin your journey?

Hey @Kali420,

I'd definitely say it's still worth playing if you're looking for a Pokemon MMO experience.

The playerbase is still active, with plenty of people online for trading, PvP, bossing, guilds, events, and general chat. Seasonal events are held regularly throughout the year, and they tend to bring even more players online.

One of PRO's biggest strengths is the amount of content available. You can progress through multiple regions, hunt rare Pokemon, build PvP teams, challenge bosses, participate in events, collect cosmetics and mounts, join guilds, and much more.

As for the community, like any online game you'll encounter a mix of people, but there are many friendly and helpful players willing to answer questions and help new trainers get started.

Since you've just downloaded the game, I'd recommend giving it a try and seeing if it clicks with you. It's free to play, so there's not much to lose, and many players have been enjoying it for years.

Good luck on your journey, and welcome to PRO!
