PVP - Change slider to maximum score instead of minimum

Ok, so, I suck at PVP, I know I do. My score is 0. But every time I try to get somewhere with it, I get set with someone who has a very high score, and I always lose. The slider allows to fight players of a minimum rating, but I think it should be changed to a maximum rating instead. So you can choose to fight players who's max score is similar to your own, rather than constantly getting humiliated by high ranking players. So if my score is 0, I can set it to fight those who either also have a score of 0, or a max score of, say, 50, to make it more fair to players who aren't as good as others and give us low scorers a chance to catch up a bit, ya know?

I totally agree,the thing should be Maximum Rating instead of the opposite so we can more or less set it to match players of our rating range,it makes more sense,but at the same time,matching sometimes high ladders tryhards that are predicting you almost every turn is very good to learn too,being destroyed builds you.

There should be an option for both, but I don't think it will be added in the near future because of the long time it takes to find an opponent.

 

Maybe after the merge it's a possibility.

I tried again with a new team. Once again I was paired up with high scoring players, and I didn't win a single battle. This PVP is so unfairly balanced -_-'

I think there's a fundamental misunderstanding here about how the setting works.

You are not selecting a minimum opponent rating. You are defining how far below your own rating an opponent can be.

If you have 300 rating and set it to 100, you'll only encounter players with 200 rating or higher, not players with 100 or higher.

Just to make sure i understand...so my score is 0, if I set it to minimum, will I get players with a lower score? I can't compete with the 200+ score players

 

EDIT: I tried moving the slider to minimum and did 5 matches. 4/5 matches were with players with scores above 200. Can confirm the slider is trash and stand by my original post of changing it to maximum score so us lower ranking players at least have a chance to get somewhere.

If you have 0 rating and set it too 100 then you can encounter players with -100 or more rating.

I understand now how the slider works,  but i still stand by my request to change it to a maximum score. I think the algorithm is a tad unbalanced.
