Can Greninja learn Sludge Wave?

Hey PRO Team,

 

I wanted to ask if Greninja can learn Sludge Wave. It is in its movepool and I have seen some of them actually having the move on them, but the TM or move tutor doesn’t seem to work for teaching it the move.

Could you please clarify if this is intentional, or if there’s an alternative method to obtain Sludge Wave on Greninja?  I have attached some screenshots if they help.

Apologies for the delayed response!

 

To confirm for you, your Greninja can and should be able to learn Sludge Wave both through the TM and the move Tutor in Celadon.

Looking at your screenshots i can see neither option worked for you, because of that this could potentially be a bug.

I will go ahead and look into this further for you.

I have been notified that you cannot currently Learn Sludge Wave on Greninja and that it has been reported, I apologize that this is not the outcome you'd have hoped for.

Please keep an eye out for any updates regarding this problem.
