Summer PvP Tournament (Showdown) | 5M Buy-In | 40M Prize Pool | 8 Players Only

I'm hosting a 5M Pokédollar Buy-In PvP Tournament. The tournament will begin once we reach 8 participants, and the Top 3 players will receive a share of the prize pool.

 

This tournament is a one-off, buy-in event limited to 8 players only.

Prize Pool: 40m, split between the top 3 finishers. The tournament is capped at 8 players to ensure a fair knockout bracket with no byes. Everyone starts on equal footing.

 

Sign-up deadline: July 10th.

• If we do not have 8 confirmed players by July 10th, this thread will be closed and the tournament will not go ahead.

• If all 8 spots are filled by July 10th, the tournament will begin alongside the other event hosted with @Vangogsan.

 

Once the 8 places are gone, they're gone.

 

The same rules and mechanics from previous tournaments will apply - following standard PRO rules and gameplay.

 

Tournament Information

1. Format

The Tournament will consist of a double-elimination bracket.

The bracket will be randomly seeded.

Registration will begin now (29nd June 2026), and will close on July 10th. Early sign-ups help us stay ahead of the curve and let us start the tournament right away.

All matches prior to the Finals on both brackets will be best of 3.

Winner's Bracket Finals, Loser's Bracket Finals, and Grand Finals will be best of 5.

Loser Bracket winner has to win 2x Bo5 against the winner bracket winner in order to win the tournament.

 

2. In Battle

All Ranked PvP Rules apply. Ranked PvP Rules. - PRO Rules - Pokemon Revolution Online

In the event that any Ranked PvP Rules are changed while the tournament is in progress, the change takes effect immediately in this tournament as well.

Should any moves, abilities, Pokemon, or items be coded between the start of the tournament and its end, those moves, abilities, Pokemon, or items may not be used.

Should any Ranked PvP Rule be broken, the offending player will forfeit the game.

Should either player disconnect, the other player may either claim a game victory or allow a rematch at their discretion.

Should the server crash during the game, a rematch is to be played with the same teams, unless a player demonstrates that they were in a position where they could not reasonably lose the game.

Prize Pool & Payouts

Below are a few sample payout models for a 8-player event (total pool = 40M). The final payout structure will be chosen by majority vote before the tournament begins.

 

Winner-Heavy (strongly rewards the champion)

1st: 20M (50%)
2nd: 12M (30%)
3rd: 8M (20%)

 

Balanced (rewards the winner while keeping 2nd and 3rd competitive)

1st: 18M (45%)
2nd: 13M (32.5%)
3rd: 9M (22.5%)

 

Flat (more even distribution among the finalists)

1st: 16M (40%)
2nd: 13M (32.5%)
3rd: 11M (27.5%)

 

As mentioned, registration closes on July 10th. If we don't have 8 confirmed players by then, the tournament will not go ahead. If all 8 spots are filled, the tournament is on.
