De-Evolution Stone

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

sometimes people accidentally evolve their Pokemon into the wrong thing, for example like turning a Kirlia into a Gardevoir instead of a Gallade, or missing out on Hisui evolutions.

Another issue is when you hand over your Pokemon over for a training service, and the other trainer evolves it without your permission, leaving you with no way to to fix it since we do not have a reversing evolution service.

So I would like to suggest the introduction of the Devolution Stone.

De-Evolution-Stone.png

Item Description: A mysterious stone that fell from the cosmos. Its internal temporal distortion can revert an evolved Pokémon to its prior form. Useful for preparing for unique regional evolutions or correcting developmental paths.

Shop:

PvE Shop: 250 PvE Coins

PvP Shop: 250 PvP Tokens/Coins

Item Status: Untradeable

Item Usage: Reverses the Pokemon to its first evolution stage.

Rule/Infraction: If a service provider evolve someone's Pokemon without asking, they should be held responsible for providing the stone to fix it.

Thanks in advance!

Kind Regards,
Lugario

-1 its not in any official pokemon games and its not needed here

What about the official anime and manga? Not as an item but as a thing.

In the anime Slowbro and Slowking did it, and in the manga it happened with Red's Eevee.

In PRO when you are doing the Hoopa Dungeon, your Pokemon are deevolved as well.

What's done is done.

Don't try to buff rich players

Since I am suggesting for the item to be untradeable, it does not affect if you are poor or rich.

250 PvE/PVP are not a small amount but are also not a huge number, so you have to be careful and have an option to "pay" for your mistakes.
It is similar price of how much a reroll would cost. Since it won't be tradeable, it will not affect the marcet.

If anything, it will be a money sink.

If what's done is done, why do we have a Mysterious Candy and a way to evolve level 100 Pokemon?

Similar to how the Ranger Team was introduced to fuse forms. Few years ago saying that something like that to be implement would sound crazy and people would be against the idea, but time changes and it happened.

Red's eevee in manga can freely evolve and de-evolve was mainly due to the genetic experiments conducted by team rocket . Slowbro and slowking are rare exception. There is nothing a concept of de-evolution stone showed in anime nor manga. Its just a fan based theory

Hello, quoting 3 previous answers (Former Tmod Lead - Dev - Former Admin) explaining the possible damage of this kind of suggestions :

It has been suggested and denied before. The potential abuse is besides the point that we simply are not able to de-evolve a Pokemon. In some situations it might be useful, the boss rewards f.e, if making a mistake its a misfortunate action but misclicking the evolution screen can be avoided.

De-evolution service won't happen in PRO. You have to decide if you use a Blissey or Chansey before you evolve it. This would totally mess with Pokemon (especially shinies) you catch. Imagine catching a shiny Umbreon and de-evolving it into Eevee. We also wouldn't offer a de-level service if it wouldn't totally make a Pokemon useless.

Do notice as well that a system where everyone is able to request a de-evolve whenever they want would also be abusable in many different ways and would be a broken system.

For example, this goes for OT and not, an user could evolve their Chansey in Blissey and then erquest a de-evolution after 6 months, then evolve it again after 1 month and request a de-evolution again.

Another example, which is as well good to point out even if for non-OT pokemon, is the fact that someone could technically buy a pokemon from other people and then request a de-evolution cause they want the previous stage of evolution, which would be against the Pokémon game itself and would hurt the economy of the game.

For example, I could buy a Shiny Vaporeon at X price and then request a de-evolution in Shiny Eevee, which has a really higher value/price than shiny vaporeon due to obvious reasons and in this way abuse the system and break the economy and would be unfair.

Kind regards
