-1 you have major of PVE contents beside bosses. If you want to be creative in making team, solving issue I suggest go play dungeon/PVP/quest.

Nothing to do with the current system, they've reworked it many times and Baton Pass was never called.

The rewards for the boss battles arent exceptionally good enough to justify making the battles even harder and giving players even more headaches, especially since they're already quite time consuming. If you want more strategically challenging battles, you can simply play PvP instead or just not use batton pass by yourself.
