Well seeing the split reaction from both the players and staff in this topic, why not just add the move Defog and it's effect to remove Fog out of battle. In this case, when obtained, people who feel laggy will be able to remove fog without the removal of its detail to other users.

It would be a horrible idea tbh, so in order to remove lags you'll need to bring with you a special move you might not have/want ?

Well the points of the administrators stand. So it either have it or don't have it because they definitely won't remove the fog in certain areas. There also the fact sooner or later, defog is known to be usable out of battle and probably be added. Might as well add it now to help users who have this issue.

Even if they implement weather condition in the game, they should at least add a bar showing the weather(maybe merged with the ingame hour bar) and still give the option to deactivate the weather effects to prevent lag. They do this with rain and other overworld weather conditions, why not add fog since it uses effects that are only good graphics cards can run. Lag is NEVER a good thing in any game.

218941 Lag is NEVER a good thing in any game.

Same goes for not having a good computer to play a game. Hence why most games tell you to upgrade the hardware in your system each few years.

-Edit-

Not offending anyone, but its true as I got a low end PC and can't play many games. Though PRO is surprisingly playable for me.

Yeah but we are playing a game that is not exigent with the requirements of the player's machine and this can be optimized with a little tweaking, like any game can at least to try and fit our setup(by having options to lower the graphics/turn of unnecessary effects). And by that I add that not anyone can afford a good PC, since this is an international game there are places that a good PC just to run this fog is expensive, like, a lot(here in Brazil for an example a good graphics card can cost almost 1000US$ by ITSELF).

Just trying to pass along a good suggestion that would make the game more enjoyable if that's isn't asking too much.

Personally I think it's a bit weird to support low-end/older devices in battle by not adding 3D models, yet not support them outside battle by adding "disable fog" option.

Especially since we spend more time outside battle than in it.

At the same time, I'm confused about the varied results.....Red & Thor's older PC seems to be able to run the fog without any lag based on what they said, but multiple players cannot do the same. What's the difference?
