It doesn't exactly cause lag while running around, just makes text when discovering and battles to go insanely slow. My computer is like...6 years old...and its not just me so.

The fog is a problem, even though some old PCs run fine, even some newer ones may have incompatibility issues with the fogs because some gfx cards can't run properly these effects, hence the lag. So I don't know why adding a button to turn of these in the future would be much of a problem...

 

We need this, even my bad laptop could run Dark Souls better than the places with fog.

 

Lag, by any form, takes away a lot of the fun factor from a game :Bored:

More options - better game, yeah good idea. There is no reason for not implementing this option into game.

I agree, i recently got access to hoenn and i'm on the Rusturf tunnel and i experience lag i never had in others regions because of the fog ...

Same lags at the 4th hoenn gym, this map got fogs too. This can't be a simple coincidence imo

Whenever there is fog, my FPS drops to 10. I'd love an option, that'd disable fog.

Oh, probably shoulda added this when i made the post, but with nothing "big" open besides PRO and my FPS goes from 70-90 in normal zones to 20-25 in the places with the fog/mist.

I'm playing on my laptop, which use Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics. These are my screenshots:

The fog is making a greater impact to me than having a second client running along. My laptop is only about 3 years old. So I'd say yes to this suggestion, it'll be good for those who run on onboard/integrated graphics.
