when i open game client the screen turns black and nothing shows but after a few seconds the music starts to play at this point i still cant see the login screen. what could be the problem?

Hmm i wonder if its a resolution problem or a graphic bug. Have you tried to exit completely out the client and restarting it? If so try to redownload the program completely to see if that helps.

It a custom made Pc that i had for like 4 years

Hmm this is odd indeed, try changing the resolution size before you login into the game to see if that would help.
