You would see an anouncement thats it in development, for one thing, if it was. 2. Hoenn took like 6 month since the little teaser of lavaridge was shown, so we know once they announce it, it could take just as long. 3. You have the full right to stop playing for a few months if your getting sick of the endgame stuff. As for the end game, you can always collect Pokemon, work on your team and PvP. As long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be.
