Trade Zone - SuggestionFalse bidding; the act of placing a fake offer with no intention or possible means of following thru with it. Despite there being clear rules against such behavior, unfortunately there is no system to prevent it from occurring. [Self-Rant]: Long story short; I hosted an auction which got insta'd and ended up being a false bid. I received a notification that a player had insta'd one of my pokemon, something about it was off though. Decided to examine the player that had "won" the auction, and noticed that their account was created a few days ago at that point in time. I began to doubt whether it was a legitimate bid. Wondered if it was a mistake or of malicious intent to sabotage the auction for unfair reasons. After closer inspection by trade staff, it was concluded that the bid was indeed false due to the player lacking funds on their account. Therefore, under unfortunate circumstances, the auction had to be restarted. Surely, nobody wants to go through a similar situation with their own auctions. [Suggestion 1]: Verification of Funds - The dashboard seems to track & display the pokédollar amount on a player's account. - What if there was a system implemented that would utilize this data to verify a player's ability to place a specific bid amount in an auction. (Example: A player wants to place a 500k bid, but doesn't have the specified amount on their account, therefore nullifying their bid request.) [Suggestion 2]: Account Age Rule - Another idea would be to prevent newly created accounts to be able to place bids. (Example: A player that has created an account less than 15 days ago is not able to place bids within the trade-zone.) [Suggestion 3]: Gym Badge Verification - A system that would verify whether the bidding player has at least 4 gym badges to be able to trade in the first place. (Example: A player under 4 gym badges will simply not be able to place any bids.) [Suggestion 4]: Stricter Rules - Imposing stricter rules alongside harsher consequences to urge players to stay within the guidelines. I lack the technological expertise to understand the complexity of implementing such systems. However, it would greatly benefit all players; including staff, as an outcome. 🙂 - Nox
