  1. It can be done actually but will have to rework entire NPCs which also include ones on storylines from Kanto upto present. Which in my opinion would take almost a year or so. As said its too (superultramega) tedious for just a simple feature. Is it worth the wait? Would people willing to wait even for a single feature update? but iirc theyre looking for possible ways to implement it, thats why they put those teleport abras&co. for the mean time. Or might be forever :Frown: Believe me it is. I have talked with a bunch of friends online and we agree that even if it would take a while to change we still want the npcs optional after the first defeat. Every day I'm reading complaints about the NPCs keeping them and other players from doing trades, hunts, bosses and such because they don't want to waste hours just for that, not until they feel like doing it. Really I dunno why making them optional is such a bad thing as players would still be able to fight them when they want (after the week cd in pro case) like in the original games.. Until then it's only Sinnoh for me and although I'm not a hardcore player like some I've made progress that even players with the same amount of hours played hasn't achieved so I've played this game enough to feel that intolerance growing everytime I would do all digs, important hbs, excavation and those npcs stopping me from doing each of those in half an hour each. It's just too much work for nothing, you can get better farm from money and exp in cerulean cave/dragons shrine each battle than a bunch of lv20-30 npcs that sometimes give the same as a lv 3 poke.
  2. Agreed with Gamiverse. You have to pay 20k to pay 20k again to do something there
  3. PurpleMauth did you actually read my post? I didn't mean in any way that I wanted the NPCs removed, just only made it so after 1 week you defeated them they would rebattle ONLY if you talked with them. So anyone would be free to skip when they don't feel like battling a npc that gives 10 dollars after 2 minutes waiting for it throwing their 6 lv 5 magikarps to get slaughtered. Also how are you playing the game? Every week a lot of players myself inclued need to clean a lot routes if they want to headbutt some trees, dig some caves, do excavations or go to the end of the world to farm some pokes. The teleport mechanic is still useless if you want to do that. You can already skip routes by going from city to city with the subway how i mentioned before and if you have to use the teleport mechanic everytime just to skip some npcs (you'll still find yourself cleaning most of them if you want to daily task) you'll be broken within no time, as each day passes farming money gets a bit harder, as the demand for better pokes increases everyday and the itens you can sell are rarer to get than last year (used to farm 100k in about a week, not anymore).
  4. But will you guys work on making then optional in the future? I would be really happy to know at least. Also Sinnoh is comming which means you guys should release it having already coded optional NPCs after the first battle for the story. Not only these teleporters are completely useless since we have the subway already, also if we are in the route it means we want to hunt or do daily quests but we are kept busy cleaning these worthless NPCs wasting hours of playing each week... This is the only real negative aspect for me this game has even with all the flaws and is the only thing keeping me off the game too so I really hope you guys do something about it in the future.
  5. Yeah this happened to me as I tried fighting him yesterday. Even the win I had on him was resetted...
  6. Hello, I'm Hakunon and I play in Blue Server (I've made a little progress in Red but didn't go so far and moved on when Blue was released) First of all I live in Brasil, in which is a country where things are insanely expensive, and Nintendo stopped supporting here over the years because of the immense taxes. Not to dive into my personal life very much, my family is poor and we even tried moving to another city trying to get a better life with some help but it was a disaster and we didn't have much to begin with and now we're moving back. When I was a child I've owned a Mega Drive, a Nintendo 64, a PS1 and PS2 but they were "cheap" back at that time and even then it was pretty hard to find games and they almost cost as much as the consoles itself. All those consoles died long time ago and I'm just using the laptop from my mother which she didn't use much anyways because mine recently died off as well (almost sure it was the hdd) and they are pretty outdated unfortunately and this leaves limited for what games I can play with (even this game is a little bit harsh on this laptop). If I win this I would be very happy I get the chance of playing the beautiful games of the current generation on something that performs nicely (at least comparing to my laptop right now). Sorry for the long post anyways...
  7. Lick and Body Slam also can paralyze ground pokes
  8. Yeah the "This is an MMO" is another one I "like"...
  9. A battle log would be pretty nice too, one like the pokemon showdown has.
  10. Yeah I knew it would end up like that, sorry for the inconvenience, bye-bye to this island then ...
  11. Mew is a god tier HM-slave even if he has bad stats
  12. To keep things simple, I spent some hours leveling the Electabuzz and Scyther needed to enter the hunting area, then I went and delivered both to the npc. Seconds later the game crashes (if only I wasn't so unlucky), the game rollbacks only on this quest and I still need to deliver the pokes that are already gone from before this happened. I didn't know this could happen if I didn't force save by logging out... So may I ask if there's anything that could be done? If not then I'll give up on this one...
  13. Yeah... It's about time this happened. NPCs should've become optional after you defeat them at least once, keeping the 1 week cooldown. It's pretty boring to waste hours cleaning routes so you can actually do daily quests/hunting or boringly logging off while talking to them so they go into the cooldown mode...
  14. He's at the Lake of Rage (Johto), inside a wood house in the forest north of the lake.
  15. Again guys, the tutor is broken. Just wait until they fix it entirely.
  16. This one isn't coded yet, almost sure.
  17. And here I thought they got rid of the forced rebattles with npcs...
  18. This. In recent months the game hasn't received any updates in gameplay (most important thing in Pokemon) and we already have Sun and Moon that will require various things to be rebalanced. Oh and spending hours in boring weak and long npc fights so you can actually do quests that needs open routes REALLY discourage players to keep playing, mainly if they have other things to do while playing the game.
  19. uhh, so just fast travel? You didn't get it, we NEED to pass through routes if we wanted to do quests like excavations, headbutts and digs, so we are forced to battle those NPCs EVERYTIME. So I think these teleport pokemons on route were a waste of the time they could've used to make NPCs optional.
  20. For me it's the forced npcs battles. The game is still "fresh" but I still think these forced rebattles are completely obnoxious and is the only thing that is keeping me from returning to the game. Literally hours are spent killing 6 lv 5 magikarps just so we can move on to the daily quests. NO, the Teleport mons on map DIDN'T help at all in this. Should have made the rebattles optional by talking to the NPCs after cooldown. If I wanted to fast travel there's already the subway systems in the game...
  21. +1 Forced rebattling NPCs must die too, this is keeping me away from the game and is the only thing I don't like about it, I feel for the people who love this game but can't do anything because they are going to spend the little time they have for some fun killing useless NPCs again and again...
