As ThatKid stated, there are plenty of different ways to notice a Pokemon is shiny, if you are paying attention to the game you are playing. It really isn't likely that an added confirmation to run from battle will be added for this reason.

There is actually a subforum specifically for price checks within the "Trades" section, it may be more preferable to post there for such requests, if you can tell me the server you play on i shall proceed to move your post to the desired forum.

Mega Pokemon are currently ingame, however only for NPC's, players cannot Mega Evolve at present.

Price checks are to be done in the "Rate/Price Checks" subforums. Which server are you playing on? As Pixiu suggested, there is now a "price checks" subforum under "Trades", it may be more preferable to post such topic there: Rates/Price Checks - Red Server
