You can also purchase mounts in the Coin Shop - they'll increase your speed as much as a bike will.

Thanks y'all! Yeah, that was my original thought too, but I got confused because when I was cross-checking it, Tyrogue (#236) is listed five times under Red's spawn dump, whereas it has only four locations listed in the in-game Pokedex. And Ralts (#280) is listed as "Rare" on its first line and then "Sparse" on its second - but its Pokedex entry shows Route 102 first and Love Island second, and I would assume that Ralts would be more common at its Hoenn location rather than Love Island, considering the recent revamp on rare Hoenn Pokemon spawns. So I'm a bit confused about it. I'm glad someone else had the same idea, though!

Hi all. I decided to compile this list of Pokemon rarity classifications based off Admin Red's rarity spawn dump. It's basically just all catchable land/water spawn Pokemon listed alongside their most common spawn tier, so as to ensure easier Ctrl + F searching. :) There are 10 total rarity tiers (though only the first 9 are used in this guide): ABUNDANT COMMON UNCOMMON MEAGRE OCCASIONAL SCARCE SPARSE RARE EXTREMELY RARE LIMITED From what I understand, there seem to be certain maps where a Pokemon is more likely to spawn, as Red's post shows some Pokemon having various rarity tiers listed (e.g. #11 Metapod has lines with both "Common" and "Uncommon," implying its spawn rate differs depending on the map). However, this will require further testing, since I'm not sure which lines of rarity correspond to which maps the Pokemon appears on. Asterisks next to the Pokemon's name indicate that it's listed under multiple rarity tiers on Red's post. If there are multiple rarity tiers listed for one Pokemon, I'll defer to the lowest/least rare spawn tier it's listed under. If you see an asterisk next to the Pokemon you're searching for, you should still cross-reference it with Red's post, though - there are some Pokemon listed as "scarce* " that may also be "extremely rare" on other maps, for example. Land spawn Pokemon: Water spawn Pokemon:

When you speak to Dr. Neumann in the kitchen, you need to select the second dialogue option ("Is there any way I can help?"). Make sure to select all dialogue options related to helping while talking to Dr. Neumann; otherwise the pharmacist won't take the Pecha Berry from you. Afterwards, if you already have the Pecha Berry, you should be able to speak with Jenson the pharmacist. If everything has been done correctly, he'll mention creating a potion and his Blissey delivering it to you. After that happens, Blissey will be at the ballroom near the left aisle. showing the steps you need to take. Hope this helps!

Congrats! I really want an Inkay. :Frown: *still has yet to battle Rocket bosses...* I don't think Inkay can evolve at the moment, unfortunately. It's okay, it's still cute though

That's a bit strange. Yes, it might be that you haven't received the coins yet - sometimes they can take up to 24 hours to appear in your account after you first purchase them. However, if you hadn't yet received the coins and tried purchasing anyway, you would have received a pop-up that says "You cannot afford [whatever you're trying to buy]." Are you sure the Medalion never appeared in your inventory? If it did, it will be under the "Misc Items" tab. This is what it should look like:

Have you tried getting another Fresh Water from the Goldenrod Mall rooftop again? In order to use Sleep Powder on Security Officer Eric, you need to bring him a Fresh Water and select the second dialogue option, "Here you go; take this Fresh Water." Then you should be able to select the Sleep Powder Pokemon in your party. on what you need to do for that quest.

Hi, on what the process of completing the Hoenn Teleporter quest should look like. If I'm reading what you've said correctly, though, it sounds like you haven't been able to encounter any Magma/Aqua grunts once you beat the Magma/Aqua leaders at the entrance and entered the New Mauville location?

Hi, this is a server bug that happens from time to time while logging out. Unfortunately when it does happen, you'll have to wait for the next server reboot to log in and play again. Rest assured, though, nobody is on your account or anything. Best of luck!

Have you purchased the MS Medalion from Coin Shop yet? Once you've purchased the Medalion with your coins, you need to click on it in your inventory to activate the membership. If you've successfully activated membership you'll see a red star at the top left corner, as you mentioned.

Ruins of Alph will revive Kanto fossils and, once you have revived all Kanto fossils, Hoenn fossils as well.

If you're talking about the box that appears when you hover over your Pokemon/the opposing team's Pokemon: that box is to show status hazards (e.g. Spikes, Stealth Rocks, etc). Status ailments will be marked near the Pokemon's name in a colorful box with little abbreviations (e.g. a yellow "PAR" for paralysis, a red "BRN" for burn, etc).

Hi, you need to go up to Route 25 and into Bill's house first. Look for his research book (located under his pillow on the bed). He will give you an S.S. Anne ticket as thanks. You can then go back to the security guard NPC blocking your path out of Cerulean City, and he should let you through. Good luck!

Welcome to PRO! I hope you enjoy your game and have fun PvPing!

Roselia gets Giga Drain at level 25, according to its learnset on its Pokedex page. Since your Roselia is already at 30, you will need to go back to the move relearner to relearn it.

Cave of Origin is at Sootopolis City. Here's a guide on this quest.

Ecruteak is the fourth badge, which you've already unlocked/won from the looks of your trainer card. However, you have not yet won the fifth badge, which is obtained from Chuck over at Cianwood City (the city you had to surf to in order to get the Secretpotion for Jasmine's Ampharos at the Lighthouse). Go back to Cianwood and fight Chuck for the fifth badge - he's a Fighting Type gym leader.

Which cities have you visited so far? It's random which 5 Pokemon Centers will work for you, so you'll have to visit them all to check.
-
Doesn't work like that here, unfortunately. The NPC who said that probably needs their dialogue updated.

Welcome to forums! I'd suggest finishing up the if you haven't already - it's pretty helpful for quick access when you don't feel like surfing all the way to Mossdeep. You could also get started on doing daily excavations, although they're a bit of a money sink at the very beginning. And as for a post-Hoenn area to explore, you can access Leev Town from Lilycove Pier if you have membership. There are tons more options and guides for post-Hoenn content over on the Game Guide subforums; I hope you find something that piques your interest!

Hi there, welcome to the forums!

Welcome to PRO, I hope you enjoy your experience! And no worries, I've played Pokemon for practically my whole life and didn't know what IVs/EVs were for most of that. Feel free to ask questions in Help Chat while you're in game, that's what it's for!

They are already in Hoenn. You can revive Root/Claw Fossils at Devon Corporation, at Rustboro City.

Even with the way the current game mechanics are, you still don't have to farm for a year to get godlike Pokemon. As I pointed out, you can make money and buy epic Pokemon, if you're opposed to relying on RNG. It's not hard to make money and it's not even that time-consuming if you're patient enough. If you find a high-IV Pokemon with 04 in HP, and that makes it unplayable for you - sell it. Use the cash to buy something better. Become a merchant and earn money that way. Get cash from battling wild Pokemon at Dragon's Den. Sell items you get from dig spots (rare candies, nuggets, etc). And so forth. If you don't enjoy farming, don't do it. Just as you don't find it "very fun to walk around in a square, spending 7+ hours to farm for a Togepi" (that's weeks not hours btw, lol), others clearly do.
-
Yeah, I agree with this. Having a guaranteed way to change/increase your IVs is basically breeding, even if you add the time restriction/cooldown onto it. Personally I don't see this as gamebreaking so much as pointless. As someone who enjoys hunting epic 25+ IV Pokemon with my OT, introducing a feature like this would take away all the fun I find in farming. I know you pointed out that the IV-changing method you've suggested still requires farming, but half the joy of farming/hunting epics comes from the very unpredictability of the outcome/RNG. What keeps me going even after 7+ weeks of Togepi-hunting is the thought that "maybe the next Togepi is going to be the epic one I've been looking for!" It's like the thrill of gambling, in a way. But a guaranteed IV changer makes that accomplishment much less meaningful. Hunting Pokemon may be very tedious if RNG doesn't favor you, but the flip side of that is how rewarding it is when you finally find what you've been looking for after so long. Moreover, if hunting for epics isn't your cup of tea, you can still get an epic PvP Pokemon just by buying one on forums or through Trade Chat. I disagree that it's gamebreaking for a wealthy player to buy their PvP teams. This is an MMO, there's an economy for a reason - it's not hard to make money by merching or even simply grinding for cash at Dragon's Den/Cerulean Cave. It's true you still need patience with the suggested IV-changing method, but why would you bother waiting 4-6 weeks to get a Pokemon PvP ready when you could grind enough money to buy PvP team members in 2-3 weeks? :p
