Hi you will need to look in here (on your pokemon) For seeing if your XP gain or not, and as you said 300xp (comparing to total xp), which is so small for seeing the change in xp bar. I think that is reason why you see bar doesn't move. Hope it can help you

Some times when the game crashes/stuck, you might lose your a bit of your progress. Keep in mind that game is in BETA and crashes can happen any time.
