Red is mostly under control, but is the oldest server and has a queue a lot of times. During the day US time, I chill in help chat if you do decide to join red. Yes. You can only buy coins in 100 at a time for $5. In game, 50 coins is roughly 150k right now.

No, there is no way to restart on a server. If you switch servers, you can start fresh but you don't take any of your previous server's stuff with you. To change your appearance, there's an item in the coin shop called "Magic Mirror". You can buy that for 50 coins. To access the coin shop, hit the purse icon in the top right while in game.

Most likely it has to do with coding them and coding them to play nice with the servers while hundreds of players use them. Development takes time and all of the staff are doing this in their free time.
