337051 IF YOU ARE SHOWING IN THE ROUND ONE BRACKET: DO NOT TRY TO FIND YOUR OPPONENT BEFORE BRACKET HAS BEEN UPDATED BETWEEN ROUNDS.
This is because of participants who did not show up/battle/provide proof of contact and therefore will be disqualified. I will pair up those who are already set to Battle in Round Two (this is also why I asked them to prepare/set up/battle their opponent if they had one, because it is set in stone and there's no reason why they can't start early). I will need to reseed the bracket for all other participants, to allow for the disqualifications - so you will not be fighting who you expect.

Reforming chats is something that has been discussed by Staff for a long time now. However implementation is where it gets a little tricky. I won't go into detail here, but everything you have said has been mentioned by another Staff member in some form - so you're not alone in your thoughts. This doesn't mean it will definitely be implemented though, but it has been in the works and may potentially change in the future.
In addition to this, as you may have noticed, we have a high number of Apprentices at the moment. Hopefully an influx of new Staff, once fully trained, will help control and allow chats to be used properly. Unfortunately they've got a bit out of hand as Staff have been in short supply recently.

340809 Everytime I try to install the logo just bounces in the bar for a while and then stops bouncing and it says app not responding. Have downloaded multiple times and its the same thing. Anyone else had this issue of installing on a Macbook Pro?

In addition to this you may need to go into System Preferences> Privacy & Security. When it fails to open the .exe it will have a prompt saying "Open Anyway". This will appear to the right of the "Allow Apps Downloaded From:" area. Click this and run the .exe again.
Please let me know if there are any further issues, I will try help you as best I can.

340733 I received the mail, butti am starting in round 2. :D:
I stated in the original post that if you have an opponent you will need to find them and battle them.
However, due to the confusion this has caused and the number of people baffled by this - I am willing to allow those who are automatically put into Round Two until the end of Round Two to battle. I won't penalise people for being confused by it. The whole thing has been a bit hard to explain and get the message across so unfortunately that just comes with the nature of how Challonge sets up their tournaments.
I will announce on the 27th January when Round Two will end.

Protect is now banned as it is bugged. See main post for more details.
Protect will not be banned from the Official PRO Tournament - however please be respectful to your opponent and avoid using it if possible. Consistent abuse of the bug will not be tolerated.

340153 So simple suggestion for the forums~ on the guild section all three servers of guild threads are stuffed into one section. So when looking for a new guild as a new player seeing this https://prntscr.com/dyv1h4 is kinda confusing and for the officers and guild leaders, keeping track of where your guild thread is can be a trick too. So can we have a sub section per server for the guilds? Since PRO grew from Red to quickly adding blue/yellow PRO has grown in guilds too. Would appreciate it very much if this change happens~ thank you
I can look into coming up with some ideas, however it won't be as cut and dry as hosting it on this forum purely because of the stress it will put on this forum to have that vast amount of content. In addition to that, this is another area we would need to moderate on a consistent basis, so I will put some thought into it and bounce some ideas around and see if this is something we can provide.
If not possible, it may be a case that Guilds that want this, should create their own forums and link this in their recruitment page and ask potential candidates to join there. Or you could host it through Discord by having a permanent channel link in your Guild Recruitment page to a channel that is solely for the use of potential/trial members. I could then lock the thread for you if you request it, so that people can ONLY apply using that method.

I have removed the rule made forbidding more than one Staff Pokemon in PvP.
Staff Pokemon are a REWARD. See the meaning of this word here:

Staff will only ever receive two Pokemon as a result of their volunteered services. One at 6 Months - a non-tradable Legendary/Mythical Pokemon, another a 12 Months - a non-tradable Non-Legendary/Mythical/Mega Pokemon. These rewards are exchangeable, however, they are not repeatable.
I will not sit by and let the Player base essentially bully and emotionally blackmail Staff Members into feeling bad and as if they should be ashamed about something they have EARNED.
I will make a post in the next week detailing this further, with full reasoning, and will make it clear why and in what cases Staff will and will not be able to use their Pokemon in PvP. For now, I am locking this thread.

Leech Seed has been removed from ban list pending further investigation. The move has not yet been fixed - however will not be bannable at this point in time. Please do not discuss this further until a final decision has been made.
This also means that it is now allowed in the Tournament again also.

-When people was complaining about Goth during more than 6 months u don't take any action or give any argument.
- The bug of the lume bery was fixed but he was in the game since the creation of pro, Sableye was very very Op but u don't take any action.
So why ban leech seed to quickly without thinking to the consequence ? + there is a tournament in coming.

Hope we can debate without a lock, or a delete, this is not a dictature and i didn't say nothing bad.
You may do this on the condition that it remains a debate only - the second it becomes in any way an argument, the thread will be locked.
However as I have said already, I will try and source a fix. Please be patient meanwhile.
Anyone affected by this in the tournament, please wait a couple days before battling and see if something can be done first.

Please don't comment about this here. The rules are as stated in the original post and will not change. However, I will look into sourcing a solution for the LS problem if I can. Please be patient.
Round One ends on the 27th - at worst you will need to battle closer to this time.

What are the criteria for the guild to enter the top 10 and how long does a season last?
We have 600 ratting with 7 persons in ranked's battle, and we guild don't enter in ladder website.

If im not mistaken, the PvP ladder is updated every time Shane resets PvP scores and the coins are given.
What Nimrodthegoat has said is very close to it. Shane decides the end dates of PvP seasons, and is also responsible for updating PvP Ladders. No other member of Staff is involved in this. At this time we do not have set dates.

Anyone who has a pairing. :) If you do not have an opponent yet then you do not need to find them, but yes if you have an opponent, find them.

If you PM me asking to change a Pokemon in your team, the answer will be no. As I clearly stated multiple times, you must have finalised your team by the time Registration ended - you cannot edit it after it has ended.
