  1. Hello everyone! Since there is no breeding in this game and all of us hunt most of our time, I thought we could have a thread to show the best Pokémon we got. Rule: epic: 25/+ in all 5 relevant statistics perfect: 30/+ IV in all 5 relevant statistics And I would like to know your point of view about the importance of IV for a Pokémon, mostly in the actual meta-game. Do you think perfect IV are essential or that someone can still survive with decent Pokémon?
  2. If we, players, stop buying at high price, it will drop. It's just this, after all. I play without Membership since 2 months and it's okay. I'm never going to buy it for more than 500 k$, but would certainly give $5 for it soon. I know that there's market manipulation going on, since there's no control over the trade chat. People are acting as they want, do fake bids, and intimidate people who ask for Membership at reasonable price. Well... I'm sure lots of people wants it to stay that way. Add to it all the bots around generating so much money that the economy is collapsing. By the way, how is it that some people sell Charmander for 15 k$ while others sell trash [anything] for 80 k$? I notice that there's a lot of ignorance and rush among new players. Let's try to teach them.
  3. [glow=#f85888]Mew[/glow], because it's childish despite of his oldness; he's friendly and helpful… and super powerful
  4. I perfectly know what RANDOM stands for and yes, with a good random generator, I can set it so you get a clone every 2 or 3 hours. A random generator is made in a way that it generate a series of random values under the Uniform law; if it doesn't approach this law for a relatively big number of generated values, then the generator failed. Moreover, if there's no law, the randomness is completely and piratically useless. If you generate 10 values for a coin flip, you may get 7 face A, 3 face B. If you reiterate the experience n times, and calculate the mean value for face A and face B, both have to approach 5.
  5. It's what I said, while shiny should happen, this stack of unluck shouldn't happen; at least not many times. Getting 2 clones in an hour and then none for 3 days is weird.
  6. Okay, take a coin and flip it. I dare you to get 12 times the same face. Try as many times as you want.
  7. As I said in some other post, the random number generator in this game seems to create bundles. When farming Shroomish, I got 12 consecutive sync fails (the odds for that are of 1 to 4096). Should I also note that I got two hidden ability, good nature Dratini in 10 minutes? 5% * 5% * 50% * 50% = 0,0625% I know odds aren't exactly this because of other Pokémon spawning in-between, but they are pretty close when it comes to great numbers.
  8. Re: Sell good clone Blastoise 31 ivs defense-spdef <t>Give a starting price. That blastoise is good. Maybe a 8/10. A bold nature would certainly make it 10/10. + Clone bonus.</t>
  9. Re: spd, spdef and spatk ev training for 10k each only...!! <t>How much time it takes to do one class (i.e. get 10k for it)?</t>
  10. I believe that the random generator of PRO needs some adjustments. I don't know which generator is used (DotNet-native or custom), but it generates bundles; I explain: A rare Pokémon has an average spawn rate of 1 per hour (ref. my experience) considering you run and don't fight other Pokémon. But: Sometimes, you get 2 in an hour and none for a whole day! Same goes for sync, I got 12 consecutive sync fails when hunting Shroomish! The probability to align 12 sync fails is 1 to 4096, twice the shiny encounter probability, and the actual shiny rate in Gen 6 / +. Same goes for IVs, when you start getting low IVs (1 to 10), you get them bundled! All your hunting day goes "unlucky". I don't know what can be done to correct this but I think that it's actually a real issue. Question: Is Magmar rarer or less rare than Charmander at Cinnabar mansion 3? Because I actually got 10 or more Charmander but only one Magmar.
  11. I like the idea; a simple to-do list with add / delete button can do it, with multiple pages like PC boxes. Each page can contain, let's say 128 lines, and 129th line will not be on the next page; this way, boxes will be independent and can be renamed; letting us organise our quests / personal missions.
  12. Yeah, actually, I've gone there only once and I see no point of returning. It was super empty; only few trainers to battle and 2 moves (I think) to buy.
  13. Do a battle against any other player (ask in All chat or a friend), and either lose or disconnect during the battle. You will then be teleported to the last visited PokéCenter.
  14. Good question to think about. Maybe… Maybe this. And by the way, great answer from MestrePokemon, it made me laugh. I am a vagabond, with no set goal. I love to roam and know all the maps, see new things and understand all the mechanism behind the game (from the simple type-advantage to the maths that rule everything). Sometimes, I step by some area and farm until I get some good Pokémon, train them by doing all the gyms of all regions again and… resume roaming. Other temporary goal I can stick to is to help the community, the new players especially, and teach them things about the game (good spots, EV-training, how bad is to be greedy, etc.) and on how to get the best out of it.
  15. For the story, I suggest to player to wait until they really need it. Usually, first evolution comes before Sabrina and second one can wait for Victory Road (and their Pokémon would then be at lv. 75 or lv. 80). If the story-player can keep its Pokémon at their original state, evolving right before the Elite Four is best; you would usually get them between lv. 80 and lv. 90 at the end of Victory Road. There are enough areas for experience farming (especially at Kanto) to get your team higher level or same level as the next gym. So yes, it's worth the wait :Shy:
  16. I get you, but since the generator is uniform, it gives an overall 1 shiny over 8192 spawns over the server and all players, same rate of course for 1 player. If you encounter 8192 Pokémon, your expected number of shinies is 1. You may get 0 or 4. Another player has the same expectation, and may get 1. Etc. If you calculate the mean of shinies encounters for 8192 spawns, you will find it close to 1. The more data you have, the closer it gets to 1. Also, someone who encounters 16384 can "expect" 2 shinies, while a person encountering 1 Pokémon has almost no expectation at all for shinies.
  17. The lv. 100 market will remain, since only 1 mega evolution is allowed per match, and people won't get all the stones at once. I think it can reload the market. Because, I don't know if you noticed, but the number of lv. 100 Pokémon in-game is growing constantly without limit ^^
  18. My suggestion is that only OT Pokémon can mega-evolve in battle (why would a non-OT Pokémon go beyond evolution for you?). And that if you buy / trade a Pokémon, and train it for 50 consecutive levels, it becomes OT. This will make it harder, but always letting us buy Pokémon at low levels.
  19. I like the idea of a new Medallion. I don't know what it can be, may it be this (with +10% chance maybe?) or something else.
  20. A couple suggestions: Auction / trade house A place where we can put items, Pokémon and goodies, fix a price and wait until someone buys. Our goods can be sold even if we are offline. I think that it will stabilize the market. Education Educate newbies, teach them: Not to hurry and buy Pokémon from others right after the 4th Badge (usually, they buy trash for all their money and get greedy right after the Elite Four) To level up their OT Pokémon before going to each gym* -- This way, they won't lose, and will get more money from battles. To try compose their own PvP team, read strategy guides and improve their skills. To use sync and patience to get their own Pokémon, or at least try to get their own before even thinking to buy from other players. Just a couple of ideas that could help new players to avoid getting greedy with time. Like in all community, we have to educate our new members. We can even put an accompanying program where we assign a tutor to one or more newbies. Law: Your team has to be between level n*x and n*x+5 in order to face Gym number n and continue your journey the best way. My experience made me realize that there's all the necessary to get your team to that level before each gym. There are enough players, wild encounters and quests between a gym and another for it. The slower you go, the better your journey is.
  21. Since clone event is back, I thought that it would be great to have a thread to show off all the cloths we caught! If you wish, we can add a rule: Only clones from the current event (none from the previous one).
  22. Understood, and I guessed so when I talked about Arcanine; noticed that it may be because of stone evolution. I will replace it with Flamethrower as you suggested and use it until I catch another one. [glow=red]This topic can be closed.[/glow]
  23. I did. But oddly, Moonblast is only available for Clefairy, and not Clefable. Clefable doesn't even get it as Egg Move. While if you forget your Arcanine's Flare Blitz (learned when Growlithe), it can relearn it via Egg Move Tutor.
  24. Good question. I think they didn't change the spawn locations and the starters are only at the places shown in PokéDex. They may add other locations since the servers will start feeling the pain of managing huge numbers of players in the same map. By the way... Charmander was available at route 25.
  25. Re: Made a mistake on my PvP Clefable <t>I understand, but wondered if someone could just change the move; or if they were going to add Moonblast as Egg Move.</t>
