  1. Team Preview was only added due to Zorua's Illusion ability, since that isnt coded it isnt necessary.

It doesn't matter why it was added. It's a feature that added a lot to competitive battling even without Zorua's ability not working. It's not just a Showdown exclusive addition to Pokemon and without it, PvP right now is just a big guessing game and lacks the essential features (Team Preview, Substitute, Volt Switch, etc.) to be taken seriously. I'm just one of the MANY people asking for it as well. I know this because there are other posts just like this one asking for this needed feature and there are people on and off of the game repeatedly complaining about it not being added. Team Preview is already a part of the game through the ladder tournaments as well since we use Showdown as the primary format. And after speaking to the people participating in these tournaments, they look forward to these tournaments BECAUSE of Team Preview and working Volt Switch + U-turn. I don't see why a trial period with Team Preview added to Ranked PvP to test how it will be in PRO can't be used as well. I appreciate you for responding to the thread though. I really didn't expect any members of the staff team to even consider responding. It would just be a huge step forward for PRO if things like this (Team Preview, U turn, Substitute) were being worked on or even talked about.

  2. Volcarona

    Current tier: A-

    Desired tier (optional): A+

Lack of Talonflame and addition of defoggers.

    Rotom-Wash

    Current tier: None

    Desired tier (optional): A- / A

If we had functioning Volt Switch this mon would be A+ but without it you can't take advantage of the many good matchups Rotom-Wash has. This mon is supposed to also allowed wallbreakers and setup sweepers to come in safely but without Volt Switch it can't do that. Talonflame is also gone so I don't see why other bulky waters shouldn't be used over this mon. It does hold a place in the metagame due to its ability to wall Excadrill, Defog on many hazard setters (Donphan, Hippowdon, Skarmory and a few more).

    Rotom-Heat

    Current tier: None

    Desired tier (optional): A / A+

The prevalence of Ferrothorn, Tangrowth, Magnezone, Togekiss, Volcarona, Amoonguss, etc. is why I rank this higher than Rotom-Wash. It has the ability to force those mons out and can click Thunderbolt vs. the bulky waters that think of coming in vs it. The only waters capable of walling Rotom-Heat are Volt Absorb Lanturn and Gastrodon (idk any others) and they aren't used as much. The only things I don't like about this one is its weakness to Stealth Rock and its only STAB fire attack is Overheat.

    Amoonguss

    Current tier: A-

    Desired tier (optional): A

Much better due to the addition of Clear Smog. It can now keep Suicune, Clefable, and a few others in check.

    Pelipper

    Current tier: None

Desired tier (optional): Replace it with Politoed

It's a better Politoed with access to Hurricane, Defog, and Recovery in Roost. It can't get in rain abusers safely due to U-turn not working but it's still better. It can break things that beat rain such as Tangrowth, Ferrothorn, etc. with a choice specs set as well. Politoed can't do this as well as Pelipper.

This is the tier list I use when making some teams so I just wanted to post this in order to help get it up to date. :D

    Thank you.

  4. I think most people who are involved in PvP on or off of the game probably have some idea of what Team Preview is. But for those who don't know, Team Preview is when you are given the ability to see your opponent's Pokemon at the beginning of the battle. This gives you the option of choosing a lead Pokemon based on the opponents team. You can also predict their playstyle and movesets if you are knowledgeable enough in regards to PvP. This was introduced in Generation 5 Pokemon games and completely changed competitive Pokemon. I strongly believe that if this feature was a part of PRO, the competitive part of the game would also change for the better. Also, given the fact that the player with the advantageous match-up on the first turn has an edge for the entire battle, winning or losing is on many occasions determined by your lead Pokemon."You can get information from Team Preview that will be invaluable throughout the battle. You can figure out how to accomplish your goals and what roadblocks your opponent might have to those goals. You can figure out the best course of action to remove these roadblocks. Team Preview is one of if not the most important parts of a battle." (Jukain). I can go on and on about the positive things that come from Team Preview but here is what it looks like on the battle simulator, Pokemon Showdown:

and here is what it looks like on Gen 5/6 handheld games:

Let me know what you guys think.

  5. I agree but only with the addition of a UU ladder. It'd add more to the game and make buying those subpar Pokemon worth it. But I don't think PRO has anybody capable of implementing this since Shane is focused on another project. Good suggestion though. I don't like the idea of a shiny ladder though. Hardly anyone would be able to participate.

Im pretty sure Eaty work hard now ! o/ Waiting future update from him, im hyped to see this.

Oh I thought Eaty was only working on storyline updates. Well if he's capable of implementing competitive content then great. Best of luck to him. :y:
