Hi PopInSmoke, what I can tell you is that Beldum is still recoiling the damage from Take-Down, but the recoil damage he is receiving is so little that you aren't able to see it. However, Beldum will faint after enough damage he received from Take-Down. I hope this might helps you. :)

It's hard to tell from your screenshot. :D: If it happens again, you should try to record it and upload the video and show it to staff how this happened.

Hello PRO Community! I made this guide since I would like to share my techniques about how to catch Beldum with more efficient ways. Hope the following techniques will help you guys. Directions: 1. Prepare enough pokeballs. 2. Put any Pokemon from Synchronizer List as the lead of your team. 3. Encounter a wild Beldum and paralyze him with thunder wave. 4. Switch to False Swiper Pokemon and then use false swipe. 5. Keep throwing the pokeballs until you catch him. 6. You caught a wild Beldum! Explanation about Beldum Recoil: Beldum won't recoil any damage from Take Down because he can't do any damage to your Pokemon.
