You should be thankful that it's not 1/4096 like last year. Also, the clone event initially lasted only 1 week (should have lasted 2), but they put it back because they failed to throw out a Halloween event. If we'd have the Halloween event, people probably would've needed to wait a year to get another opportunity to get a clone, and it would have remained rare. Besides, clones were only available for Kanto's starters. 23 Pokémons can have a Xmas themed skin, and not only extremely rare pokés. Imagine if 1/20 were Xmas like clones, people would have 100 Xmas Farfetch'd by now and it's only been on for a week. You can still buy one to someone who can :) As the Pikachu needs to have our OT in order to teach it Surf and that it has a couple of weeks of cooldown, that will most likely cost you a fair bit, but it's not impossible! So many people skip the dialogues, I've met a ton of people who were like "Wait, we could have Pikachu as a starter? You mean Viridian Forest, right?" You can challenge other players without any ranking, rewards or even rules (the rules stated here are only for ranked PVP battles) 3. Yes, but only Mew, Jirachi and Celebi (and you can use them in both ranked and non-ranked PVP battles) 4. There is the XMas event on-going which temporarily add some maps, and there will probably be a new permanent custom area based on the maps made for what would have been the Halloween event (as mentioned by Thor here)

The thing I'm sure of is that Red never respawns up there so win or lose doesn't affect the possibility to go to Trainers Valley, indeed. Just to be sure: do you talk to the correct NPC? The option to go to Trainers Valley is only proposed by the NPC in front of the train, not the one in the hall (so you have to pay the first 5k$) If yes, then I'd suggest you to try to evolve few more pokés, up to 50 or so, but again I'm not entirely certain that it needs more than Love Island ^^

By experience; most of the pokés have higher base stats in some ... stats Only a few like Mew, Celebi, Jirachi etc. have exactly 100 base stat in each So, for some pokés, attack will be far more important than special attack, e.g. Snorlax as he has 110 base atk and only 65 base spatk (not to mention that almost every move it can learn is physical) Therefore, IVs in atk will be important, and those in spatk negligible. I just killed 9 zubats and my speed hasnt gone up. Any reason for that? Yep, that's because this statement is only true for lvl 100 Pokémons. Here is the full formula: It means that, at lvl 50, you'll need 8 EVs in order to gain 1 stat. Lvl 25: 16 EVs for 1 stat. And so on
