"A rare event only pokemon" That's what we can call a collectors edition pokemon. It doesn't matter if it's "trash" as you so callously put it, but it's rarity sets it above the others. "have you ever went to a market in real life or in other game and saw an item that you want to buy and the seller told you "offer me", no cause that's how things should work." You're bidding on an item with any value from a dollar to millions of dollars, not walking into a supermarket and attempting to buy a soda with a set price tag of $9.99. This game is made up of different pokemon with different stats and those different stats causes the price to fluctuate. That makes everything being sold essentially an auction. And that is exactly how auctions work, you go in and look at an item and the man asks for offers from interested parties then the item goes to the one with the highest offer. I also wonder if you've ever played other games before because again, that's how it works. In most MMORPGS that relies on trades being made directly through player conversation. While your views on this may be idealistic, I do agree that people should list the minimum amount that they're willing to take just to save everyone's time.

I did a quick search and didn't find anything on the subject. Anyway, I wanted to suggest applying a delay to users posting in trade chat if it's possible. The chat gets kinda flooded with people posting the same message, but with a different letter tossed in. I personally think it'd be good to restrict users ability to post in the trade channel to once every 1.5-2 minutes.

High-jacking his suggestions, but would some kind of mailing system be remotely possible? Like being able to send a pokemon/item to another player with an option to request money that the person would have to pay before receiving the pokemon/item?

Unless it changed I think membership already gives 50% by itself.

We have a trade channel yet people are still spamming all chat, so I don't think a help channel would really do anything. The main thing you would see in there anyway is just people who are trying to rush through the game ask questions which they would already have the answer to if they didn't spam through npc dialogue.

Time zones are irrelevant. 72 hours = 72 hours. It should not expire until 72 hours from the time one gets it, regardless of where they are in the world or what time it is for others. I know I'm just saying my membership ran out before it should have so who knows The FREE membership already had a set date for expiration and that was when it hit 12am on the 20th in Australia. Completely irrelevant to this.

Most of the people who say that are looking for alternative donation methods, but right now it's Paypal only due to Shane's Australian tax laws.
