1. Hey, I'm looking for an Epic or Godly Snow Warning Aurorus. I'm willing to pay in coin capsules, (possibly money if you give me time to sell the coin capsules.) Have a HA Aurorus and interested in selling? Post it in the thread with your asking price, or pm me if you want to talk about it. I'm looking for a fair trade on both ends, I know it's not really farm-able so I'm willing to pay well for it. Preferred natures, Modest/Timid (would consider Naive/Hasty) If yours isn't one of these 4 natures? definitely don't be discouraged from posting it I'm looking to build a team revolving around it so I'm able to work with things like bold/ calm etc. Don't have an Auroras? Well thanks for taking the time to read this, ^^ definitely let your friends know if they're thinking about selling theirs.

Can the Staff lock this thread? Thanks in advanced.

Fine, I'll play your game, Cofagrigus (It's a tank, and if it gets hit by a physical contact move the pokemon that hit it now has mummy, good bye adapatability, good bye your logic of no counters in the "tanky stall meta"). Gastro Acid on (ANY POKEMON THAT LEARNS IT) can shut him down or (if they swap to talon, shuts down his ability as well) WOAH 2 in 1. :^) if you respond, I'll look at it after work and gladly point out other counters you haven't thought of.

I know you don't know a lot about pokemon speeds, probably because you're used to going second since you only play slow bulky tanks, but Serperior outspeeds crawdaunt. So the only attack Crawdaunt gets off before dying is aqua jet.

You bring up a great point! The only true counter to Crawdaunt is having a focus sashed Crawdaunt yourself and teaching it Superpower. We should probably ban leftovers too, because I don't have any and no one will sell me there's. :c
7. I'm 2 party hats away from finishing my little collection, I'm willing to pay 375k each. pm me on the forums if you have one of these 2 colors and are interested in selling one, or both, to me.
8. Before I comment on that let me bring up a bug that's clearly misleading in pvp and needs to be looked into: When Sand Stream is activated after Drought has been on the field, the symbol that indicates it's sunny remains on the screen, but the sand storm clearly is damaging Pokemon. These kinds of graphical bugs would give anyone who doesn't know about it an insane disadvantage because they'd be under the assumption that they have all the benefits of it being sunny. Anyways... I don't see how you can completely disregard the foundation of Gen 6 OU's rule set. I understand what you're trying to say, but until the game has EVERY SINGLE ability and move coded properly for gen 6, gen 5 rules should be very much part of the conversation, and seeing as how many moves in Pro and abilities aren't coded properly, or haven't been coded yet, it'd make little to no sense to not consider regulating weather combination abilities for balancing purposes, as well as promoting diversity in competitive pvp teams. (looking back) Also I apologize for mentioning Baton Pass Clause, I was lacking sleep when I typed that and realized Baton Pass was in fact banned in gen 6, but didn't get a chance to go back and correct myself.
9. I don't think it's fair to assume the rules are based off of a Gen 6 OU smogon rule subset for two reasons, 1. It hasn't been officially stated it was based off Gen 6 OU smogon 2. There is a Clause that is exclusive to Gen 5 in the rules (Baton Pass). Noted Bans from Gen 5 OU smogon - 1. Banned Abilities - A team cannot have a Pokemon with any of the following abilities: Sand Veil and Snow Cloak. 2. Drizzle + Swift Swim - Using both a Pokemon with Drizzle and a Pokemon with Swift Swim on the same team is banned. 3. Drought + Chlorophyll - Using both a Pokemon with Drought and a Pokemon with Chlorophyll on the same team is banned. 4. Sand Stream + Sand Rush - Using both a Pokemon with Sand Stream and a Pokemon with Sand Rush on the same team is banned. 5. Baton Pass Clause - A team cannot have more than one Pokemon with the move Baton Pass. A Pokemon with the move Baton Pass cannot have both a method of boosting its Speed and a method of boosting any other stats. Noted Bans from Gen 6 OU smogon- 1. Endless Battle Clause - Players cannot intentionally prevent an opponent from being able to end the game without forfeiting. 2. Swagger Clause - Players cannot use the move Swagger. Gen 5 focused on increasing diversity in their meta by removing specific combinations of abilities in teams. Forcing players to rely on the use of Rain Dance/Sandstorm/Sunny Day moves to combo with strong abilities such as swift swim or stand rush. (Removing those 3 combinations of weather related abilities on the same team could give Prankster users more use since they can be used to set weather conditions) Honestly I'd like any combination of these three things to happen, 1. Weather abilities combinations and/or Snow Cloak/Sand Veil are banned from ranked. Weather Abilities were a huge theme on the Banlist from Gen 5 OU, the attention was taken away from weather related abilities when mega evolutions were released, seeing as PRO doesn't have mega evolutions lots of players are resorting to these very strong ability combinations. 2. Remove the Swagger Clause. A lot of moves that Prankster users love to use aren't coded properly, I honestly feel removing the Swagger Clause [Which isn't a clause in Gen 5] would bring more balance to Prankster users who are currently missing key moves such as Encore or Substitute. 3. Remove the Baton Pass Clause. (Smogon clearly had good reasons to remove the Baton Pass Clause from Gen 5-> Gen 6, it shouldn't be a problem removing this clause (ESPECIALLY when there aren't any bans placed on weather related abilities).
10. I'm still trying to figure out why snow cloak and sand veil are not banned abilities, Everything in the rules pretty much implies that you'd want them banned but the rules were phrased to exclude abilities that increase evasion, (and I can't find a moderators response to why they've done this on any forum post). Like this is an important rule that needs to be discussed not exactly sure how this has never been added to the discussion. Tldr: when is snow cloak and sand veil going to be banned?
11. Looking for 31 speed 25 or higher special attack Willing to pay up to 1m for the staryu or starmie depending on how high the defensive ivs are. (If your staryu/starmie is atleast close to what I'm looking for feel free to show me and mention your price)
12. So, can we get a moderator's response about sand veil and snow cloak not being banned when they're typically banned everywhere except VGC.
13. I'm looking for a Modest Drought Vulpix or Ninetails, if you have one that you're willing to sell post your price w/ a screenshot of the pokemon.
14. I've used multiple black memberships, and I'm fully aware that buying a black membership doesn't guarantee hidden ability Pokemon but I'm actually convinced that the current black ms I have activated is bugged, I've encountered/caught 50 Pokemon and only 2 were hidden ability. I know how statistics work, and how I'm not necessarily going to get 25% of my pokemon I encounter to be hidden ability, but shouldn't it be at least some sort of increase from the expected 5ish% of pokemon you typically encounter? I know some people are extremely unlucky but there is no way I've actually managed that bad of rolls on a consistent basis. I just want someone to end my black membership early, so I can buy a new one. seriously I'm very annoyed by what seems to be a bug.
15. Just because it's not in smogon's ruleset doesn't mean it'll allow you to use that pokemon online, I wish people with actual experience with ranked rules would comment on this :/ Literally going to screenshot what happens when you try using unaware+softboil clefable and defog+ hidden ability gliscor on a team. (picture is a screenshot from showdown when you attempt to use both a softboil+unaware clefable+ and defog hidden ability gliscor). This is what happens when you try and use a move that a pokemon can't learn I honestly can't spell it out anymore than that.
16. Why are you claiming that I'm being close minded? Lol. "8. An Unaware Clefable with Softboiled and a Poison Heal Gliscor with Defog, respectively, are banned from ranked play. This is due to the introduction of Hidden Abilities in Gen5 and those moves being removed from the respective Pokemon's movepool in Gen5" First of all I'm literally reading the rule, which the admins were nice enough to add the reason behind why they added the rule in the rule itself, so yes the move on the hidden ability was removed solely because it isn't obtainable in the actual game. (The reason the rule was implemented may be different than the reason it was brought to their attention, don't make the mistake of assuming the reason it was brought to their attention is the reason they're banning it it from the ranked.) Did it ever cross your mind that the original game developers had a reason to remove it from their moveset? Like they didn't just accidentally avoid having an OP combination like unaware+softboil. A lot of thought goes into game development and I guarantee that was a conscious decision to remove it from their movepool when the hidden ability was being released. Also the competitive rules in this game are a collection of the reoccuring rules you'll see in other games, with the addition of their own rules made to compensate bugs/ and uncoded moves and abilities. I understand PRO is it's own Game, But saying competitive rules from other games are irrelavent is a bit ignorant seeing as every rule that's not involving a coding bug was adopted from other games. So using another rule set to start a conversation helps people understand that it's a conversation worth having. hahahaka ^^
17. PreHax Phione w/ tail glow being banned wouldn't fall under the same precedent as the H/A Pokemon knowing earlier generation moves that were removed from their move pool at a later date. But that doesn't mean I don't agree with you (It probably should be banned), just pointing out that the correlation between those two isn't accurate. The reason they skipped the Gliscor vote is because it fell under the same exact precedent as the unaware-soft boil vote. Your complaint is about a Pokemon knowing a move that was never in it's move pool to begin with and that the explanation for it being banned should be the same as a Pokemon knowing a move that is impossible to legally obtain with the combination of a hidden ability, nonetheless I'm just trying to make sure we clarify there was a difference between the two and if you want a stronger argument to why it should be banned it's best to clarify that we know the difference, between the two.
18. PreHax You couldn't teach a Gliscor defog in any generation after gen 4, but Gliscor couldn't be obtained with a hidden ability in any generation before 5, so it's impossible without hacking to get a gliscor with that move and ability, hence why it's banned from competitive play.
19. PreHax Aeroblast is very possible on Smeargle, Tail Glow on Manaphy is possible, I guess I support the Phione w/ tail glow ban but does that scenario happen often? Transfering pokemon from previous generaions wasn't a problem, since Sketch lets you learn any move you encounter, Smeargle can fight a pokemon transfered from a previous generation that knows Aeroblast.
20. That's because Gliscor could only learn defog in pokemon diamond/pearl and the hidden abilities weren't really a thing til gen 5/6 so, it was Literally impossible to obtain one without hacking your game, (in the actual pokemon game) so it was banned from all competitive play.
21. That's a pretty negative outlook on the situation, I'm sure they'll give a reasonable response to the request, I mean the worst reason for denying that request would be "We don't want to upset sand veil garchomp owners."
22. Ah I appreciate the response I was very invested into VGC doubles during omega ruby and alpha sapphire Guess I confused that rule with being a standard rule for smogon as Well. Guess I learned something new today ^^
