We, the staff team, have decided to create this breakdown to go in depth on the EV Zones that have been created by Prehax the Spawn Editor This breakdown will describe the what an EV is, The areas created specifically for EV training, The Pokemon you will find in said locations, and a few Tips that will help you in EV training. We hope this helps everyone in need of it! EV Zones are areas in every region that have specifically built spawns to enhance the proficiency of EV training that would other wise be unavailable in any other areas in the game. a Before we move onto how to EV train we must first cover what an EV is, so that you have a complete understanding of the goal you are trying to achieve on your Pokemon. Quote EVs or also known as Effort Values, are values for each stat that a Pokemon has (HP, attack, etc). These EVs are something Pokemon can gain by battling Pokemon and defeating them. Each Pokemon can earn up to 510 EV points before maxing out their EVs but can only have a max total of 252 in an Individual statics. These EV points raise a statistic 1 point for every 4 EVs and influence your final stats and your scaling when you are engaged in battle. Down below I have also added what EVs look like inside our game on your Pokemon so you can see the EV totals they have. Reveal hidden contents Expand Quote To utilize these zones to their full extent, I recommend using the item Macho Brace The Macho Brace is an item that doubles all EVs gained from battles but also halves the speed of the Pokemon while it is holding the item. You can obtain a Macho Brace the following ways: - At any pvp-coins shop for 10 pvp-coins (Vermillion, Blackthorn, Mauville and Canalave). - Route 3 (2nd spot), OrDig Spots. - Held by traded Pokémon from the Biker in front of the Goldenrod City Poké Center. Every further Macho Brace will cost 20k. You can also Decrease EVs by using the EV decreasing berries, if you ever accidentally add an unwanted EV. You can find the list of EV decreasing berries down below. Reveal hidden contents Pomeg Berry - decreases HP ----------------------------------------------------- Kelpsy Berry - decreases Attack ----------------------------------------------------- Qualot Berry - decreases Defense ----------------------------------------------------- Hondrew Berry - decreases Special Attack ----------------------------------------------------- Grepa Berry - decreases Special Defense ----------------------------------------------------- Tamato Berry - decreases Speed Expand The EV Zones have a specific area in every region which are special. During a different time of the day you may obtain a specific EV whether it's roaming through the grass or surfing and fishing on the near by waters. Down below I will go in-depth for every Regions specific EV Zone.
