Hey, few weeks ago I was hunting Espurr in the Old Chateau for dex and I encountered a shiny. After getting what I initially came for, I went to check what the stats was like on the shiny and to my surprise, it was still in it's normal form. Hope this can be sorted out & thanks in advance.

Unfortunately the message always pops up when you find the ? unown despite it being quite common :( so its not actually a shiny sorry to say.

That's not a shiny. It's a special unown form - you get that notification when it's a question mark unown.

The message doesn't say it's a shiny. It just says it's a rare pokémon.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

That is not a shiny with normal sprite, the ? and ! form of unown is a rare form so for that you get the message of a rare encounter when you fight him.
