In addition to the comment above, you can also find it from a wild Bronzong, Bronzor, Magnemite, Metang, Pineco, Scyther, Skarmory and Steelix.

In some areas there is a slim chance they'll hold a Metal Coat, so be sure to check with the Reborn bot on PRO's Discord server in #bot-commands (i.e ^spawn Bronzor). Which will give you a list of the Pokemon's spawn locations and if they can hold a item in that specific location.
