NPC/Script errors

This might not be a bug, but I'll report it anyways.

 

Last night I tried to trade Bellsprout for Onix in Violet City, but I kept receiving a "you are not allowed to trade this pokemon right now" message. I'm not sure if that was the exact text, but something similar.

 

Bellsprout was in the first position of my team, but when I changed it to the 2nd position, it allowed me to make the trade.

You probably caught the bellsprout few time before interacting to the NPC, what means it had no ID assigned because server didn't save your data yet; this is the reason why you were unable to trade the pokemon.

That's probably it. I just found it weird that I tried twice with bellsprout in the first position, then right after I moved him to second, it worked. :)

1.The porygon guy near prof OAK house in Johto said he lost after I returned from my defeat and he let me pass instead of jumping on me again. So probably all npc have this problem.

2.The Ledian NPC near Azalea Town said after I beat him: Take some time to train if you want to beat me.

3.Old man in forest asks to find his HM cut, I defeat Farfy'd then he thanks me for finding his Farfy'd and gives me the HM he wanted from me...At least make him explain that he lost Farfy'd aswell and 'The TM I lost was stolen(found) by my Farfy'd.' :)

4.I used mareep to immobilize guard in goldenrod basement because it knew thunder wave and it worked! With the move cotton spore that reduces speed...

5.The basement weekly merchant is not finished, yet.

6.Reflect appears twice in goldenrod mart list. Missing Light Screen. Both 'Bad' merchendise :), for now.

Effective next reboot, all of these errors should be amended in-game. Thank you for the time-proximate testing and immediate bug-reporting.

 

Regarding the latter-most error, however: by re-speaking to the NPC, the script should pass the most up-to-date value of the array-bracketed number, thereby actually selling you the item. It does not initially simply because the script is passing a variable value (basically, a number to determine the array of the item that is being sold) that has not been registered yet; this is because of a chronological-parsing oversight on my part in the script wherein I didn't code it so the newly registered value has been passed into the script.

 

While that will indeed have been fixed, I am just explaining it to assure you that that the NPC is still serviceable in its behaviorial intention at this juncture; it just requires you to speak to the NPC more than once in order for it to properly evaluate all the data it needs to load for the shop.
