Veldrin
i finish the gym so i start going to e4, but firts i do a little test. from server official: horsea lvl 30 vs pidgey lvl 16, pidgey give 700exp (little more) from test server: horsea lvl 29 vs pidgey lvl 15, pidgey give 98 exp. if the new way of exp means that is need x10 time to exp poke i think that something is really wrong in what are you doing. my start intention was do the first 2 region and then mayvbe hoen if i have time, like this i'm not sure i'll finish even Kanto couse i have poke still lvl 60 and need start victory road where the exp is 1/10 of the real game. i'm here for testing and i know it, but a new player who start probably delete everithing after 4-5 gym. problem are: 1) insane low exp 2) no training part who explaine how pve can be to new player like a tutorial (i do gym tanks my knowledge about boss strat) 3) npc strong where you die and cant repeat 4) no exp given again some npc and even from the gym if you lose firts time 5) the pokemon spawn have a lvl soooooo low respect the gym you have to fight so you can't exp easy (expecially for the low exp given) if this is only to test the exp share so ok it can be good but need tested on normal exp given, like this i pratically stop use share exp couse it lower exp gained even more. the only way i think i'll use this exp share will be to train EV , is the only thinks i can be is good about it for now and all caused from the low exp given by poke. if this server is to test a new way for new gamer so i need to give only bad feedback couse if i think like a noob who start gime for first time and don't know nothing about ability/nature/moveset/teambuilding i probably left the game on saffron gym. 1 Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/202698-public-test-exp-rework/page/14/#findComment-1167121 Share on other sites

Regardsombre
KANTO: Spoiler Badge 1 Spoiler Badge 2 Spoiler Badge 3 Spoiler Badge 4 Spoiler Badge 5 Spoiler Badge 6 Spoiler Badge 7 Spoiler Badge 8 Spoiler E4 KANTO Spoiler KANTO FEEDBACK: Spoiler I followed the story by doing only the trainers on the road except for the first badge where I had to level up on wild pokemons, as well as the 6th bagde I had to do the trainers of road 17 and 18 after a defeat, the 3rd badge I also lost but after a few tries I succeeded. For the E4, I farm directly against the league champions until it passes. Multi xp is interesting on kanto, up a magikarp on first story is kinda boring/ complicated, I could wait that it is in levels 25/30 before using it and gyarados and super useful for the league afterwards. I still think that we should train 2 pokemons per team maximum unless you have a ms, or an xp boost. Otherwise we could be under level and get stuck. Edit: I had a lot of bugs where dead pokemons come back on the field even if I don't think it has anything to do with the multi xp. JOHTO: Spoiler Badge 1 Spoiler ( crashed during fight ) Badge 2 Spoiler Badge 3 Spoiler Badge 4 Spoiler Badge 5 Spoiler Badge 6 Spoiler Badge 7 Spoiler Badge 8 Spoiler JOHTO E4 Spoiler JOHTO FEEDBACK: Spoiler Johto is a very easy region I used 2 pokemons for the first 7 gyms and captured a clefairy for the 8th. I felt at the level of trainers and gyms that I did, I have no criticism to make against this region. HOENN: Spoiler GYM 1: Spoiler GYM 2: Spoiler GYM 3: Spoiler GYM 4: Spoiler GYM 5: Spoiler GYM 6: Spoiler GYM 7: Spoiler GYM 8: Spoiler E4 HOENN: Spoiler HOENN FEEDBACK: Spoiler The experience was great before the 5th badge from which I found myself too low level against the gym while I still only used 2 pokemons. These trainners that I was able to pass with the help of 4 onix stury with rock tomb. It was still very complicated and I had to use a lot of items and even my first rare candy in order to pass some fight. The league itself was very simple. SINNOH + FEEDBACK: Spoiler GYM 1: Spoiler GYM 2: Spoiler GYM 3: Spoiler (Lost second screen but really easy gym) GYM 4: Spoiler GYM 5: Spoiler GYM 6: Spoiler BUGGED NPC: Spoiler GYM 7: Spoiler GYM 8: Spoiler E4 SINNOH: Spoiler SINNOH FEEDBACK: Spoiler To access sinnoh: I put myself in the place of a person who does the 4 regions in a row without knowing the prerequisites, it was a hell with my 6 pokemons story I had to pass with t wave + 6 flash + 6 dd with flygon. The region in itself was the most pleasant of all, I stayed on 2 pokemons per region. Chimchar is a great starter, he could even complete the region alone. A small negative point is that we meet the first interesting pokemons quite late. I really appreciate the ratio between my level and the level of the trainers (I did iron island, and pal park). I also like the way of testing and the reward to motivate the players. ty Edited September 26, 2022 by Maitrepoulpe Link to comment https://pokemonrevolution.net/forum/topic/202698-public-test-exp-rework/page/14/#findComment-1167196 Share on other sites

Artisankiller
1. Kanto (finished): Spoiler Gym 1: Spoiler Gym 2 Spoiler Gym 3 Spoiler Gym 4 Spoiler Gym 5 Spoiler . Gym 6 Spoiler I was forgotten to take ss before get into the gym so i take one before I beat the Gym leader. Sorry for inconveniences. Gym 7 Spoiler Gym 8 Spoiler Finally after defeated Elite 4: Spoiler How to I feel after finished Kanto: Spoiler 1. Kanto is my most familiar region. Have done lots of time before. However this new exp system bring a new experience. I picked charmader as my starter then it was easier on the early game when I can evolve the poke without the change in exp, it provide a huge power to sweep npc. I could use 3 poke (charizard, gyarados and vileplume) and share the exp for 1 other (Haunter), thanks to the new exp system, which is really hard to do, take much more time for the newbies with current exp system on live server. 2. I was leveling up my team to 70+ for a while to beat e4. To train to poke to 70 seem take more time than the current exp system when a poke with 50+ level need to defeat more than 10 wilds to have 1 level up, compare for current system, 1 lvl 50+ wild poke can provide around 2-5 level up depend on based exp. 3. Exp share seem good when doing story and level up for low level poke (under level 50). Level 50-60 seem hard to do because the poke is not strong enough to 1HKO the wild, the most difficult duration. 2. Johto (finished) Spoiler Gym 1 Spoiler Gym 2 Spoiler Gym 3 Spoiler Gym 4 Spoiler Gym 5 Spoiler Gym 6 Spoiler Gym 7 Spoiler Gym 8 Spoiler Finally after defeated Elite 4: Spoiler How to I feel after finished Johto: Spoiler 1. The story was good. As my experience with kanto, I was stuck some time in 8th gym when my poke not have enough level to defeat gym leader, I was focus on 2 poke only. However I still have to spend more time on 8th gym also. 2. E4 was not a problem anymore thanks to gyarados I got from kanto, Dragon dance any "kill them all" 3. Hoenn (finished) Spoiler Gym 1 Spoiler Gym 2 Spoiler Gym 3 Spoiler Gym 4 Spoiler Gym 5 Spoiler Gym 6 Spoiler Gym 7 Spoiler Gym 8 Spoiler Finally after defeated Elite 4: Spoiler How to I feel after finished Hoenn: Spoiler 1. Learned from my experience with Kanto and Johto, this time I decided to all in 1 poke. All exp gain for my swampert and lets see, he could do anything for me. Do not have stuck with gym anymore 2. E4 was easy. 4. Sinnoh (finished) Spoiler Gym 1 Spoiler Gym 2 Spoiler Gym 3 Spoiler Gym 4 Spoiler Gym 5 Spoiler Gym 6 Spoiler Gym 7 Spoiler Gym 8 Spoiler Finally after defeated Elite 4 Spoiler How to I feel after finished Sinnoh Spoiler 1. Same with Hoenn, I focused all in Infernape. I was not evolve my chimchar till level 39, so that I have aerobactics earlier to deal with fighting gym. However, it was always in "not enough damage" situation. But it was solved thank to revive. 2. The quest to go to sinnoh, in my opinion, was most clear time to feel the useful of exp share. As a newbie point of view, who was not have a team for level up, or did not have much place to train (like Chimecho level up team, dragon shrine or cerulean cave). I did it with exp share on nincada (which evolved to Shedinja and Ninjask with suitable condition - trick to have 2 separate level 80+ pokemons in 1 training). It took me around 2 or 3h to do so with defeating npc and gym leader. 3. I also realized that the exp needed to level up seem still different when evolve (due to the different in their based exp), but the different is not clearly as current exp system. 4. E4 was no longer a Threats. 5. My opinions after all: Spoiler About Exp. System: This new exp. system seem to be good for new player (totally new, without any help from older one) to deal with the gym, npc, wild... since the evolution does not affect to the exp need to level up. However, to deal with elite 4, its much more difficult because it take to much time to level the poke to be able to sweep, and need more strategy to do so. In general, this new exp system bring a better experience for stories, but much harder for training after finish stories, which PRO's players spend most of the time to do so. About Exp. Share: I barely use this because the exp gained be share into 2 pokemons, its make me can not focus to train one to really high lvl to sweep e4. However, it still work very well in some case when i need to fast train a poke to the level I need in my strategy. I think exp share is should be really good if sweet scent work outside the battle, and the new exp system also. Some suggestions: 1. Further test: I really want to compare exp needed to level up among 1st, 2nd and 3rd evolution line. However, I didnot have much time to do so. 2. Exp share is very good item. Its should be added ingame. 3. Exp system is good also. But if you guys want to apply in live server, there are some things you guys should concern: To train a poke till level 100 in this new system is to hard to do (almost impossible) The combination of this exp system and exp share only do well if the wild pokes come in bulk and sweet scent worked outside battle. Imagine, 5x level 50+ poke come in 1 time, 5k+ exp gain, 1 surf or 1 earthquake can clear all then it should be a good gain for low level poke. 4. Finally thanks for this test, redo story is still a good experience when I can not do it lots of time (because of 4 acc maximun according to PRO's rule). If any information need clarify, feel free to let me know. Paprikaflow
Finished the kanto region Spoiler The gyms Spoiler Pewter Gym Spoiler Cerulian Gym Spoiler Vermillion Gym Spoiler Celadon Gym Spoiler Fuchsia Gym Spoiler Saffron Gym Spoiler Cinnebar Gym Spoiler Viridian Gym Spoiler This is before and after - I got 0 exp. here My experience playing the Kanto Region - Feedback: Exp.-System: Early Phases: Right from the start I noticed the difference in the exp.-gains. In the beginning this was definitly a very pleasant change, especially compared to the state later in that game. Mid-to late game: To me it felt like the exp. gains go progressivly less and it felt really difficult to train my mons. Especially if I was a few levels ahead, it had basically no gain. This has its upsides - for example that it would clearly benefit a playstyle where you have to use different mons. But bringing them to a necessary level would take forever and since my goal was to finish the region in a timely manner, it really stressed me. I would like it to give a little more experience in generall for the later stages of the game, aswell I would prefere it when it would be easier to bring mons to the level of the opponents mons - meaning higher exp-gains from mons that are a higher level than the mon I am using. To finish the story I felt I needed to use a more cheesy strategy - so in my oppionion the game is a little bit to hard at the end, eventhough it should still remain a challenge (I don't pled for making it too easy either). The exp.-share: Super nice feature - no complains at all The evolution experience system: Very nice - it is way more fun to use the evolved mons if possible. Gives it more of goal to actually play the game and not trying to trick the game. I would like that to be implemented in pro Specific for that test-run: A surf mount would be great, just to speed up surfing. The addition to that in PRO is really nice since it speeds up a process that is just too slow.
