This thread will be regarding the illuminate ability.

As you can see, from the ability description, it will be a boon for pokemon hunters. BUT! It does not have to increase encounter rate. It can work by reducing pokemon rarity by certain levels.

 

To avoid abusing this ability, the following precaution can be implemented:

 1) The pokemon has to be alive,

 2) The pokemon must learn HM 05(Flash){Optional}

 

With these precaution in place, it will prevent syncronize hunting with Illuminate.

 

I hope my suggestion is considered.

-1, with that amount of restrictions I do not think it will be very enticing for people to hunt event forms or just any pokemon without their synchronise chance. Furthermore, this massively increases the benefits of people who just spam wild battles over and over with Membership active, thus benefitting cheates mainly.

If your disagreement is with the experience boost and money boost of membership, then you do not have to be worried. As stated here

it will not increase encounter rate but rather reduce their rarity. 

This will boost the encounter chance rather than encounter amount. 

This will mainly benefit dex hunters and World quests, which can be balanced by increasing total ivs requirements.

Hello, currently we are not focusing on implementing abilities outside of battles.

The abilities we have coded were mostly heavily nerfed.

 

Adding new abilities outside of battles is not planned at the moment.

However, this may change in the future.

 

Does illuminate work atm. ?
