Tried it a few times but no. Just encountered after smashing rocks. Will keep trying the pillars though.

No need to check for riolu unter the pillar anymore, that has been removed.

Yes, the first two days. Then no more.

Just got Root Fossil @ Historical

I think people are overlooking the part that says "I guess I need more practice HERE".

 

My guess is that the more you dig in one site, the higher chance to not break fossils in that site. I could be wrong, but seems to not be unlikely.

About that, how Riolu was previously caught in the pillars? I mean, in Historical site you smash parts of pillars, but I guess there was some other way to get him?

When you walked in between the big pillars at the mid/bottom section of the Historical Site, you had a chance of encountering a Riolu. Was probably just random, no one was able to find out if you could do anything to encounter it.

To stay on topic, for people who, like me, does not have a lot of discoveries:

Absol appears around 3.2k @ Feral Site

Ferroseed around 4k @ Natural Site

Timburr around 4k @ Historical Site

Beldum around 4.2k @ Mineral Site.

Golett around 3.5k-4k @ Haunted Site.

Bergmite only in shiny rock, so normal way probably over 4.5k or more @ Glacial Site.

All fossils so far are smashed, I have ms. Things like Mushrooms, Pearls etc, found only Tiny Mushrooms once.
