Me too, i speak to Santa and go to city and not found present,can do with a second account (Kanto,Johto league) and can't battle the boss.

324334 after talking to santa in viriian he said that i should get presents to four cities while i have santa close on. He gave me new (beard-hat) and i went to the cities but under the christmas tress i cant put the presents , nothing is there https://prnt.sc/dl98x3.

It didnt work for me aswell so i accepted the quest earlier today. After your fix i can interact with the trees at least but now this happens:
