Guest Tawhakii
Hello all, I'd like to suggest an fair option for all starting players. Make all the starter Pokemon have the same IV. So that we all start evenly at the beginning and not that some end up having a OP starter or a not so good starter. Maybe like set them to 18-20 IV ea attribute. Or like for a Charmander 15 Atk - 15 Def - 20 Speed - 20 SpAtk - 15 SpDef - 18 HP (Or other starter pokemon like this but some specialise in def or att) Stats like these wont be to OP but they are good enough to keep it lvling. I hope you all agree ^^ Kind regards Tawhaki

As long as there are those that remember what was, there will always be those that are unable to accept what can be.

Merse
I like it too. I always feel especially connected to my starter and it's always feels so bad when I realize it is a bad one.
Diablo
Its a nice suggestion. I like this idea because I get everytime the same bad iv's on my starter pokemon. Last time I got one with 3 one iv stats and that's just terrible at the start.
Skipo
I Like the idea, because later you can catch the starters again if you want to have better IVs +1 Rare Hunters Guild Member<i></i>
Somes
well i wouldn't support cuz all will be having even pokemons then what about an epic starter? it seems me like a decent iv > 18-20.. Also, i know starters can be caught in wild at some specific locations but wheres the guarantee that those starters caught will be epic or uber? they are HR in those locations and after catching they might be useless/decent IV's aswell. So, it's better if we stick to the original handheld games starter random ivs someone might get epics, ubers and decents. ••MY GUIDES•• [glow=red]EV Training Hot Spots[/glow] [glow=red]How to get Legendary Dogs[/glow] Shiny collector and Proud Member of BlaZe~<i></i>
Naero
Equalizing Pokemon IVs is actually a point of discussion I've dived into a while back, and I feel that it is necessitated by the contingency of starter-farming, which would be needfully precluded by this suggestion. I would be more than willing to do this, and I would be one function request away from putting it into motion (scripters lack control over IVs due to the lack of access to the raw database; we are confined to what functions we have to work with for data manipulation and modification in that regard). As starter Pokemon may be used competitively depending on what the PvP culture totes, however, some will want to disbalance the parity by taking chances for higher-IV starter Pokemon; as such, I am curious to ask if players would be in favor of an IV-randomizer later, which would give a one-off chance to generate a new permutation of Pokemon IVs? Starter Pokemon may be a sparse source elsewhere other than the introductory selection of them, and while there are obvious risks to come with this (having even lower IVs on-average), it is a compromise worth entertaining when some's desire for the reward (better IVs) may outbalance the risk. If an IV-randomizer is to be added soon, which will be possible with the same function that allows scipters to sweepingly register Pokemon IVs at 15, I should also note that I am leaning towards making it accessible no sooner than after all gyms are completed. While it does open the door for starter-farming, it can still be curtailed and disincentivized greatly by forcing players to travel through thick layers of PvE content before it is accessible. Crazyping12
i don't agree for all starters to have the exact same ivs or even make their ivs better for all players. if i had the same ivs as all players i wouldn't feel that my starter is special or different from others .. and all starters are catchable after in some places, so if you want to use that specefic starter in pvps you could just hunt them later. giving a starter random ivs is more challenging and most of starters are not usable after in pvp coz of evs, starters only help you in your journey unless in some cases when u get an epic one then you could reset his evs later... and starters aren't the only pokemons that you can use, so players experience and knowledge of pokemon games that sets the difficulty of the journey .. so i wouldn't compare only starters... getting a good starter doesnt mean you would advance in the game better than others with bad ivs starters. when i get a bad ivs starter i accept it as a challenge for my self to be able to make him a better pokemon with evs and beat gyms with it, and others pokemons are always an option for example if i get a bad bulbasor that i think its a pain to train i could just catch a grass pokemon in viridian forest.. and if i feel that i want a bulbasor i would catch him later... guys i really think that you shouldn't make the game easier, i get that there is people that are new to pokemon games and they wouldnt hundle bad ivs starters so well and most of them doesnt even know about ivs .. for that there is always a help channel i myself would always give advices to anyone that has probs at the begining ..
