Touka Posted August 12, 2017 Share Posted August 12, 2017 Hello guys! I've created this guide to help players who have trouble going through the Hoenn Region because it can be a bit tricky! Here, you will be guided from the beginning of Hoenn to the Pokemon League! I hope you can get through the Hoenn Region easily with this guide! Here are the guides from the previous regions! ▶︎ KANTO WALKTHROUGH BY JOLLYOLNATHAN ◀︎ ▶︎ JOHTO WALKTHROUGH BY SUGARRED9 ◀︎ Spoiler First of all, you need to level up an OT Rattata to Level 80 to be able to go Hoenn. (Tips to Lvl up Rattata) Once you've finished leveling up your Rattata, head to Victory Road and battle Youngster Joey. To challenge him, you'll need your Level 80 Rattata. You have to beat him to progress within the story. His team will consist of 6 Level 120 Rattatas. Once you've defeated him, talk to Hoenn Traveler to start your Story in Hoenn! Spoiler First off, we will be teleported to the beginning truck! Exit the truck to find Mom. She will take us home and there we will have to go to our room. Once in the room we need to talk to Jirachi. Walk downstairs to the first floor and leave the house. Mom will tell us that we have to find Prof. Birch who is in his laboratory, but the laboratory is closed so we need to go to his house. Professor Birch will give us a task to find his daughter, May, at route 103. She is looking for Pokemon and she will tell us to accompany her to his laboratory! We have to choose our starting pokemon and fight with the Poochyena! Now we can go and find May! Spoiler Nothing special in this route. Just go up to Oldale Town. Spoiler In Oldale Town, there is only one interesting thing which is this NPC. They will give us 5 Potions and 5 Pokeballs! Spoiler On Route 103, we'll find May! Get ready for battle! Once the fight is over, May will tell us that she will return home! Now we can go to Route 102 and fight with some trainers! Spoiler Just as we enter Petalburg city, we find Wally who will ask for a battle! Once we've defeated him, head to the gym in which we will meet Norman! Spoiler On route 104, we find several trainers, Berries and the entrance to Petalburg Woods! At Petalburg Woods we will meet two Aqua / Magma team members who we will have to defeat! And once defeated, the scientist will give us a Great Ball. After receiving the great ball we will go to the second part of route 104 where we will find a few berries and more trainers! Spoiler Finally we arrive at Rustboro city. Go to the Pokemart to find an NPC who will give us 5 pokeballs, 5 potions and 10k! Enter the Pokemart and this NPC will give us the False Swipe TM. Head to the first gym where we will face Roxanne! TEAM We will receive our first gym badge, the Stone Badge! Spoiler After obtaining our first gym badge, talk to the npc right outside and he will tell us that someone stole the devon goods. Agree to help him out and go to Route 116. At route 116 we will find several trainers and we will also find this old man who will tell us that Peeko, the Wingull, is in the tunnel! Inside the tunnel we will find Team Aqua and Team magma which we will have to defeat to save Peeko and recover the devon goods! Once defeated, the old man will tell us that we can find them on route 104. Return to Rustboro city since we now have the devon goods! Return the devon goods and go to Devon corp, which is to the left of the gym to speak with Mr. Stone on the last floor! Mr. Stone will tell us to give a letter to his son in Granite Cave! Spoiler To go to Dewford Town, we have to go to the old man's house at route 104 and he will take us to Dewford Town for 2.5k. Once at Dewford Town go to the route above and you will find Granite Cave! In Granite Cave, we will need a pokemon with flash to be able to traverse the cave easier, but it is not necessary because the cave is very small! CATCH AN ONIX, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR LATER Once the cave is over you will meet Steven to whom we will have to deliver the letter! Return to Dewford Town and head to the gym! Spoiler In the gym, we will face Brawly to get our second Badge! TEAM We will receive our second gym badge, the Knuckle Badge! Spoiler Before going to Slateport City, we will have to go back to Devon Corp to pick up the Devon Goods! Now we return to Dewford Town to be able to go to Slateport City! We will reach route 109 in which we will find many trainers! Keep going up to be able to enter Slateport City! Now that we are in Slateport city, we have to go to the museum. Unfortunately it is blocked by some reporters. To unblock the path go to Slateport Shipyard which is below the museum and talk with this NPC! And now the museum its clear! Enter the Museum and you will find Team Aqua/Magma grunts. You need to go to the second floor and battle with Jackson! Defeat him and go to Mauville City! Spoiler At route 110, you'll find May and you need to beat her Be careful and buy a lot of potions, as this will be one of the most difficult battles! Once you beat her, follow the path to reach Mauville City! Spoiler Once in Mauville city, we need to go to the gym and you will find Norman & Wally! Be ready to battle Wally! Beat him and we can enter the gym! We need to fight Watson to get our third badge! TEAM We got the third badge, the DYNAMO BADGE! Next, you want to enter this house and buy a Rock Smash TM for 5k if you don't have one already, as we will be needing it for later on. Spoiler At route 111 South we can find some trainers but nothing special. At route 112 we are going to find a Cable car station but there are Team Aqua/Magma grunts blocking the way. We need to go through via the cave. We can find a few items at Fiery Path, but nothing special. Route 112 Part 2, nothing special here, just a single trainer. At route 111 North, we can find some berries, Trainers and an NPC that can heal your Pokemon for free in the house. At route 113 we can find a lot of trainers but nothing special. Spoiler Nothing special in this Town. Just go straight to route 114. At route 114, we can find a lot of trainers and items but nothing special. Go to the end of the route and enter Meteor Falls! Spoiler Inside Meteor Falls, we'll find Jackson and Team Aqua/Magma grunts again. We need to defeat Jackson and he will leave a note for us. Now we can go back to the Cable Car Station and use it! Spoiler You need to go to Route 115 and go to Rusturf Tunnel and use rock smash to go to Verdanturf Town! Nothing special in this route, so we can go to Mauville City through route 117. In this route we can find the daycare center, a few trainers and free pokemon in the water but we need HM Surf first. The Master Ball there is simply an easter egg and cannot be obtained. Once we've reached Mauville, head to route 112 again and go to the cable car station. Spoiler At Mt. Chimney, there are Team Aqua/Magma grunts and Jackson blocking the way again so we need to defeat Maxie first in order to progress! Once we defeat Maxie, Jackson will steal the meteorite. He is not blocking the way to Jagged Pass however, so we can proceed. There is nothing really important at Jagged Pass, so we can head straight down to Lavardige Town. Spoiler At Lavaridge Town, we need to beat Flannery to get our fourth badge! TEAM Congratulations on getting our fourth badge, the HEAT BADGE! Once we defeat the gym and get our fourth gym badge, we will find May and she will give us the Go-Goggles. The Go-Goggles will allow us to explore the desert at route 111, but there is nothing of importance there at the moment. Head back to Petalburg City so we can challenge Norman. Spoiler We need to go back to Petalburg city because we can enter the gym now! This gym is kinda hard because there are a lot of battles and you can't skip them! After getting through the rooms, we will finally battle Norman to get our Fifth badge! TEAM We have received our fifth badge, the BALANCE BADGE! After defeating Noraman, we can now use Surf and Fishing Rods! Head back to Mauville City. Spoiler Once we're at Mauville City, go right into route 118 and use Surf to cross the river. At route 119B, we are going to find trainers and some items but nothing special. At route 119A we are going to find Team Magma/Aqua grunts blocking the bridge. Enter the Weather Institute to progress. Spoiler Here, we need to fight a lot of Team Aqua/Magma members and we need to beat Both Team admins so be ready to battle! Once we defeat them, talk to this NPC to get Castform's Data. We can cross the bridge now! We can also heal our Pokemon by talking to this NPC. Heal your pokemon, go back to route 119A, and get ready to fight May again! After defeating her, we can go to Fortree City. Spoiler At Fortree City, we need to enter the gym, but there seems to be an invisible object blocking the way. We'll have to skip this part for now and make our way to route 120. At route 120 we will find Steven and he will give us the Devon Scope to use and clear the path of the invisible object. It turns out, the invisible object is a Keckleon. Now go back to Fortree gym and be ready to battle Winona for our Sixth gym badge! TEAM We have received our sixth gym badge, the FEATHER BADGE! Let's continue on the next route, but first, don't forget to buy a few healing items. Spoiler At route 120 we are going to find a lot of hidden items and trainers hidden in the tall grass! At route 121 we are going to find Team Aqua/Magma and we need to follow them to Mt. Pyre! At route 122 we will find the Mt. Pyre cave! Spoiler At Mt. Pyre, go to the third floor and go down. Be prepared for a gauntlet of battles! (20 Battles Aprox.) Go to the top and you will find Jackson, Maxie, and Archie talking with the elders. The elders will tell us that they need help to calm down Groudon and Kyogre. Now we need to go back to Jagged pass through route 123. Go to the cave in Jagged pass and you will find the Magma Hideout! Spoiler Get ready for a lot of battles! At the end, you will find Groudon and Magma Admin Tabitha! Defeat Tabitha and Jackson will appear to calm Groudon down! Now we need to go back to route 121 to go to Lilycove city! Spoiler At Lilycove City we will find May but this time we don't need to battle! Head to the right side of the city and get in this cave! Get ready for a lot of battles. You will also need to beat both team Admins! This puzzle is easy so it shouldn't be much of a problem. Once you beat them you need to find Matt and speak to this Magma Grunt. Now we can go to Mossdeep City through Route 124! Spoiler At Mossdeep City, we will find Steven and we need to talk to him. Afterwards, we can enter the gym. This gym has two leaders so we need to beat them! (Don't be scared, this is one of the easier gyms) First, we need to find Liza and then Tate to get our Seventh badge! LIZA TEAM TATE TEAM You have received the MIND BADGE! Now we can go to the space center at the right side of Mossdeep and talk to Steven to get HM Dive! Steven will tell us that there is something strange at route 126 under the water so we need to go there! Spoiler These routes can be a bit confusing so I made this mini tutorial to help you to continue with your story! ^^ First, go to this sign at route 126, Just go South and you will see it! This sign will tell us the direction of the routes so this can help us a lot! Go to route 127 and use dive here! To use dive, you need 155 happiness on your pokemon. Type /Happy and the party slot of your pokemon in the chat to check how many happiness points your Pokemon has. Once in 127 underwater just go all the way down until route 128 underwater and get in the cave! We can continue with the story! Spoiler Get ready for battle! There is a mini puzzle in this cave but its not a problem. Just go right everytime! Finally we are going to find Matt and we need to beat him! Same thing as in Magma Hideout, Jackson will appear and he will steal the Blue Orb and retrieve Kyogre! Tabitha will appear and inform Matt that there is a new task at Sootopolis City! We are going to be teleported to Route 128. Spoiler Same as the past routes, these routes can be a bit confusing so here is another mini tutorial! Go to the top of route 128 and you will be in route 127. Then go to the left side and go to Route 126. At route 126 we are going to use Dive again in this spot! And we are finally at Sootopolis City! Spoiler At Sootopolis City, we need to find Steven and Wallace. They are at the cave of origins! Steven will tell us to go to Sky Pillar on route 131! Go back to Route 128 and now go to the Route 129, here is another mini tutorial! We are able to go to Sky pillar! Head to the top to battle Jackson! Defeat Jackson and he will tell us the truth about him! After that, it's our turn to calm Deoxys down on the moon. Jackson will give us an opportunity to get ready to challenge Deoxys. Be careful with this part, Deoxys is hard to beat so if you have friends, ask them to lend you a hand. If you don't want your friend's Pokemon, catch a Pokemon with the Sturdy ability and teach it Toxic. For example we can use the Onix we caught earlier at Granite Cave. Simply use toxic and a lot of revives to beat him. This is why we need an Onix early in the story! Once you are ready go to talk with Jackson, pay the 15k to be teleported to the moon! Spoiler Finally, the the last part of this region. Let's beat Deoxys! You need to go through the caves and find the way to get Deoxys. The puzzle is pretty straight-forward, so it shouldn't be a problem, even without Flash. At last, the battle. Once you manage to defeat and calm Deoxys down, you will need to find Rayquaza in the caves and you will be teleported to Sootopolis city! (Check all the caves, its random) Spoiler First, we need to talk with Steven at Sootopolis and afterwards we can enter the gym! We can get our Eighth and final Badge! In this gym we are going to battle with Wallace and Juan, so get ready for battle! Once we beat Wallace we need to find Juan! WALLACE TEAM JUAN TEAM Congratulations on obtaining the last gym badge of Hoenn, the RAIN BADGE! At this point, we can use our Pokemon we caught from previous regions to challenge the Elite Four. Before that however, head to Cave of Origin B3F to get HM07 - Waterfall. Spoiler We now need to go and beat the Elite Four. Let's head to Ever Grande City and Victory Road! Go to Route 128 and follow this mini tutorial! You have reached Ever Grande City. Heal your Pokemon and enter the final challenge, the Victory Road! This cave is tricky so follow this Tutorial! After exiting the cave, you will be once again be greeted by Wally. Get ready to battle him. Finally, the Elite Four! Spoiler This Elite four is easy but make sure to stock up on revives and healing items! SIDNEY TEAM PHOEBE TEAM GLACIA TEAM DRAKE TEAM STEVEN TEAM Congratulations on defeating Steven, you are now the Hoenn Champion! You will be teleported to Littleroot town after this. Head to the lab and speak to Prof. Birch. You can now go to the moon from Mossdeep's Space Center! This is all for this guide but it is not all of Hoenn as there are quite a few other quests and some unexplored routes.
