Greetings, i just faced my first Malamar on PVP and had a real hard time against it. It had a moveset made of Superpower, Knock off, Rest and Sleep talk, wuth Contrary ability. Any good checks.counters for it? Thank you.

The smogon counters are either not available in this game or bad pokes overall.....

I want this anwser because malamar with superpower move is unstoppable. If you get answer or any way for that please share here too.

Clefable is a good checker for him. Since resists both Superpower and Knock off.

Heracross is a counter: , just pray to hit megahorn xD

I see that even an adamant Heracross with Guts and burn isnt 100% sure to 1hitKO (if Megahorn hits at all) And thats without the Defence boost after 1 Superpower, correct? I guess clef is the best bet here.

those calc were made with +6def malamar ^_^ so even a jolly can kill, if only +4 ^.o

Careful malamar is the best build and it's still bad. It's just not a good pokemon for competetive. If it's impish or anything else without spdef, then you can deal with it easily with any strong spatker.
