I gave the art needed for Ultra gen7+alolan to Shane. Follow sprites are being sorted out but they aren't mandatory for next update. In to-do list for him it is well explained how certain Pokemon is supposed to evolve and so on.

They've already added gen 7 pokemons to the pokedex in order to prepare for their addition into the game. If they can add Alolan pokemons, they certainly will. However, it seems that right now, they're unable to handle alternate formes, which means there's a possibility they can't implement alolan versions right away.
