Yoour issue is related to bandwidth - just keep trying, you'll login eventually.

That topic has been discussed multiple times. As recently mentioned, it's quite hard and actually loads of work to rescript the entire game/all of the 'hostile' NPCs. Each character has range of sight, you can easily get around them, there's only a few exceptions. Besides, fighting low level pokes won't take much time anyway.

I've trained a full party, to lvl 85. Yeah, you can rebattle trainers after 7 days (except gym leaders).

Dependent on your style and your party. Do you need a defensive poke or don't you mind another sweeper. Gliscor is more like a tank, given that he can use Taunt and has some nice base stats, from my point of view, but you need to decide on your own.

Charmander and Cyndaquil. Fire has always been my favourite type to start with.

That's no bug. It's meant to be like that.

You can check the moves in the dex itself. Some moves aren't implemented.
